Guest designer for Newton's Nook

Hello everyone! I'm up on the Newton's Nook blog with my 3rd post as guest designer and for this card I actually made my first ever Bokeh background. I'm pretty happy with the result.
I used the Summer treats set, because I'm so ready for summer! There are some cute kitties and sentiments in this set. I chose this sentiment because it's what my daughter swears to, LOL!

For details please visit Newton's Nook blog.

Australia is burning!

Hey guys. How heartbroken are you to see all the burned animals in Australia? I can't even....
I chose this digital image Lili of the valley Koala. The profits of the sale from this cutie will be donated to the WWF Australian bushfires relief, so get shopping people!

I colored it with Copics and cut it with a My favorite things Wonky stitched frame.
Copics used:
Koala: W5, W3, W1, W0 + C1
Tree: E50, G40, E42, E31, E34
Leaves: BG57, G02, G00, YG01
Butterfly: YG06, YG01, E44, E47
I also printed this Make it Crafty Gumnut flower corner and fuzzy cut it out. I "colored" the flowers with a white Sakura gelly roll pen.

Copics used:
Leaves: BG57, G02, G00, YG01
Flowers + stem: YG17, YG06, YG03, Y000
I stamped a sentiment from Poppystamps Whittles Everyday and popped up the panel and gum leaves.

Although rain storms have moved in, fires are still raging. The animals of Australia still need our help. The lucky ones recover and can be re-released. However, their habitat is lost. Please consider making a donation 🙏
There are plenty places to donate. I have listed a few places with direct donation to the animal hospitals. These hospitals work around the clock to rescue, recover and re-release the injured animals.

Classic ninjas

Hello everyone! I was lucky to find this classic My favorite things Ninja-mazing set at a really great price and since my daughter needs a birthday card for a friend I thought it was the perfect occasion.
I stamped a couple of images, colored them with Copics and die cut them.

Copics used:
Suit: W5, B24, B23, B21 + 100, C9, C7, C3
Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000
Star: Y17, Y08, Y02
Tempel: R24, YR09, YR04, Y38, Y17
I heat embossed a small strip of cardstock with the magical WOW! Black Magic embossing powder to cut out the letters.
I cut the letters 2 times from white cardstock as well and layered them. I first stamped the "congrats" and then used my T-ruler to allign the letters.
The background is ink smooshed with Wild honey, Spiced marmelade and Candied apple oxide inks. I added a "HI-YA" for the flying ninja and popped them all up with craft foam. I really like the contrast of the background and the ninjas on this one!

A super-baby baby card...

Some people have all the luck and get pregnant really easy. Others battle unwanted childlessness for years due to disease, miscarriages or, in my case, for unknown reasons. Today's card is custom made for a couple that's gone through a rough spot. I was given 2 criteria - some kind of superhero and for a boy.
I used Sunny Studios Super duper. I stamped one of the guys, colored him with Copics and fuzzy cut the image.
I first ink blended the background using Tumbled glass, Salty ocean, Blueprint sketch and Chipped sapphire Distress oxide ink. I then sponged white pigment ink (I use Hero arts Unicorn white) through the bottom of Newton's Nook Tumbling hearts stencil. So love will always catch the little boy if he falls.
I then heat embossed a setiment using WOW! Midnight dream embossing powder. I also heat embossed a My favorite things sentiment at the top of the card using WOW! Opaque bright white.
I then used some Tim Holtz opaque texture paste through a couple of clouds on the Newton's Nook Cloudy sky stencil. I put on a thick coat to get the look of fluffy clouds. And yes, I masked off the stencil.
I stamped some "movement lines" and popped up the super boy for dimension.

AAA Birthday Game #9

Hello everyone! Today we are starting a new game over at AAA Birthday and to kick off 2020 we are having a shaker card theme!
I love shaker cards. They are a little time consuming but worth the time spent, because they are so fun and sure to put a smile on evryones face!
I've used Avery Elle Be a unicorn. I stamped, colored with Copics and fuzzy cut the image. Then I used a Versamark pen on horn, nose and hooves, covered with WOW! Unicorn Magic and heat set it.
Copics used:
C3, C1, colorless blender
RV23, RV21
I've had this Avery Elle Chevron mat frame for a while but never used it. I cut it 3 times from white cardstock and stamped a sentiment in black as well as a couple of the stars with Spun sugar Distress oxide ink. I also cut the frame from craft foam. I adhered the craft foam to a white piece of cardstock and filled the narrow strips with 6 different colors of glitter in rainbow order. After adhering acetate to the back of the cardstock frame I ahered over the craft foam.
I placed the whole shaker on a panel of rainbow hearts from Doodlebug Fairy tales paper pad.

That's my inspiration, please hop on over to the AAA Birthday blog to see the inspiration from the rest of the team as well as our guest designer!

Thank you for stopping by, and happy crafting!
