Alex Syberia Design July release - Double the fun!

Billede
*reklame* Hello everyone! Welcome back to more inspiration from the new Alex Syberia Design release. I'm up on the Alex Syberia blog with this cute card today! It is an absolutely amazing release and I highly recomend you visit her Etsy shop  if you haven't already. And in case you didn't know YOU could win a gift card for Alex's Etsy shop by hopping along with us in our Instagram hop (from yesterday). Today I'm sharing a card using 2 of the new stamps - Love you and Coloring therapy. The Coloring therapy stamp is what you see in the background there. It really was therapy. And honestly that stamp would do fine on its own, in my opinion, but I had already decided I wanted to use it as a background for this too cute giraffe! I fuzzy cut the giraffe and added Nuvo glaze to the glasses and then liberally sprinkled over with holo-glitter (Lawn Fawn), which is still everywhere in my craftroom 😂  Copics used: BG75, G24, G43,G40 B0000 E35, E34, E31 E55, E53, E51 E47,

*reklame* Hello everyone! The Alex Syberia Design July release is now live and you are going to LOVE this release! You can find all the new stamps in Alex's Etsy shop here - but first, let me introduce you to "my" garden. See, I was looking for a stamp with coneflowers and I couldn't really find any (that I liked at least). So I asked Alex if she would consider making a stamp. This is it! It's simply called Tina's garden and I LOVE it!! I hope you do too. You're welcome, lol 😉 I wanted the stamp to be the star of this card, so I printed and Copic colored it. Although the ones in my garden are deep pink, I chose a couple of warm colors and gave it a warm sunset feel. I love the cozy quiet feel I get in my garden on summer nights - how about you? Copics used: RV66, RV55, RV52 YR09, YR04, YR02 R22, Y35, Y21 E97, E99, R39 Y38, Y35, Y11, Y000 + G40, G24, G94, G99 I added a sentiment from Clearly Besotted and a couple of water droplet gems. Stay tuned for mor

AAA Birthday Challenge - Game #27 Use an embossing folder

Hello everyone! Can you believe it's July already? Well today we're kicking off the July challenge over at AAA Birthday Challenge blog and the theme this month is Use an embossing folder. For this card I was greatly inspired by a video I watched recently from Jaycee Gaspar - find it here . I was just playing around with different embossing folders and trying different things and although this is very dark and much different to my usual style I totally love the look! I used Memory Box Chrysanthemum Field 3D embossing folder. Obviously I used a black ink (Versafine Onyx Black) and applied all over the embossing folder which really made the flowers stand out. Using the technique from the video I tore the sides of the paper and decided to back it with a couple of layers of gold embossing powder (Hero Arts) and plattered on some diluted gold acrylic paint. The My favorite things Hooray die also received a couple of layers of embossing powder, as did the sentiment which is also MFT

Name board - Dåbstavle - Copic award 2021

Billede
Hello everyone! Today I have something completely different to share with you. I don't know how much this is done in other countries but here in Denmark we hang name boards in honour of new babies. My sister asked me to make one for my niece who's 5 weeks already. I pretty much had no restrictions and I thought it would be fun to add the measurements in bubbles surrounded by mermaids. All elements are from Sweet November stamps since I really adore their images and have a bit of an obsession with mermaids, lol. I really encourage you to check out their selection. The project is letter sized (danish A4) and everything is Copic colored, please find combinations after the photos. I have not entered before and it's probably optimistic, but I'm entering this project into the 2021 Copic award. Copics used: Skin: E71, E11, E00, E000 + R32 Yellow mermaid: Y38, Y35, Y13, Y00 + E97, E99, E37 + YR09, YR04, YR02 Cuttlefish: YR27, YR24, YR23, YR21, E51 Red mermaid:  R89, R29, R24

3 images, 1 sketch - part 2

Hey everyone! Once again I searched through my stash of already colored images for cards for the Danish Operation write home. I found 3 different images - all colored in 3 copies and cut with circle dies. So I found a sketch (an older MFT sketch from their  archive ) to fit them all. I cut all the pieces and stamped all the sentiments at once which helped ease the process. As you can tell from the title this is the 2nd card I'm sharing, so feel free to take a look at the first one as well. These feature a Jade Dragonne digital image. Jade Dragonne images are (currently) free for download to color on DeviantArt. A bunch of crafters joined forces to share lots of amazing inspiration using Rachel's gorgeous digital stamps. Check them out in her Etsy store here ! Hop on over to my instagram to join the IG hop with some amazing prizes to be won and of course to check out all the inspiration 😉 Initially I was going to make an anniversary card with those cute bunnies from the Hugs set but then decided I needed a card for a friend. I created the 2 flower borders by layering 4 different elements from the Special to me set . And yes, you guessed it. I Copic colored them using these markers: RV25, RV13, RV10 G05, G02, YG11 E30, E31, E33, E34, E35 W3, W1, W0 I used an oval frame from Nellie Snellen to cut an opening in my cardbase and adhered the fuzzy cut flower borders at the edge. On the inside of the card I ink blended a bit of Tumbled glass and Mermaid lago
