If flowers were friends...

Hello everyone! Just poppin' in real quick to share another slimline card. Like I said I don't care too much for slimline card designs, but I do like the look of an elongated image for it. So I'm making a few. This actually is only part of a Krista Smith digital stamp. I copic colored the whole panel and then heat embossed this older Waffle Flower Enveloper choice sentiment on a piece of vellum and wrapped it around the panel. How do you like slimline cards? Copics used: Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00 + R22, R20 Eyes: B05, B02, B00 Hair: E51, E55, E23 Shirt: G94, G24, G40 + colorless blender Top: Y38, Y17, Y13, Y11 Hat / flowers: RV14, RV13, RV11, RV10 Pants: W3, W0 + colorless blender Grass: YG17, YG13, YG03, YG01 Thanks for stopping by! Stay safe, and happy crafting! Just bloom

Hello everyone! Truth be told, I'm not a huge fan of slimline cards. That being said they do allow for a larger image, especially if the image is tall like this beautyful ballerina from Mo's digital pencil. I love her! Also I just figured out I can change the black lines of an image for no-line coloring. And although this image for no-line did intimidate me, sometimes you just gotta give it a go. Right?! Copics used: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000 E71, E74, E79 W7, W5, W3, W1 R85, R83, R81, RV10 For the background I used Victorian velvet oxide ink, first blended lightly then to stamp flowers from Poppystamps Blooming greetings. The sentiment is from the same set and white heat embossed on some brown grey cardstock that I die cut using My favorite things Elegant rectangle die. Please let me know in the comments if you like doing no-line coloring? Thanks for stopping by! Stay safe, and happy crafting! AAA Birthday challenge - game #24 Shaped card

Billede
Happy Easter Monday friends! I hope your Easter offered lots of fun, family, relaxing, crafting or whatever you wished for.  Today we're kicking off the April challenge over at AAA Birthday blog and the theme this month is Shaped card. I recently (well some time last year) purchased these cute Whimsy stamps Hap-Bee birthday bees. I think they're so fun! I felt they would be the perfect feature for a hexagon-shaped card, so I stamped the bees and copic colored them. Copics used: Yellow: YR24, YR23, Y17, Y21, Y11  Black: E47, E44, E40 Wings: E55, E53, E50 Mouth: E99, E97, R85, R83 Orange: YR68, YR04, YR82 Teal: BG49, BG15, BG23 I thought it would be fun to also make it an easel card, so I used the largest die in the Waffle Flower Nesting hexagon set to cut these 2 pieces out.  To cut the one on the left I folded a piece of cardstock and placed the edge of the die juuuust outside the paper, so it would cut the whole shape and leave the fold.  Next I folded one half down the mid

More cute birthday cards for Operation write home

If you're making your way here during the weekend I wish you a Happy Easter!  So a few days ago I sat down and used most of my gel press backgrounds from a few weeks ago. I paired them with lots of images that were already colored. I guess you can say I cleaned out 😆 Here's a couple more. I continued using the Pinkfresh Folk Hummingbird flower, because leaving the background all white is just too cas for me and the stamp was already out. Then I added the diagonally cut gel press paper and stamped a sentiment. The sentiment as well as these cute critters are from My favorite things Birthday Buds. Since this little cutie party piglet doesn't have wings I turned the card base to stamp the flower at the top in stead. Again these flat enamel dots are actually Nuvo drops. As you can probably see they can get a bit rough on the edges, but I'm OK with that. For the last card I used a couple more images and opted to not stamp the flower. In stead I added a few fluffy, pink cl

Good vibes for Operation skriv hjem

Happy Easter everyone! I myself have not made it to Easter cards yet this year (and I doubt I will). So a few days ago I sat down and used most of my gel press backgrounds from a few weeks ago. I paired them with lots of images that were already colored. I guess you can say I cleaned out 😆 Here's a few of them. The cards will go to Operation skriv hjem - for deployed Danish troops to send to their loved ones.  First I stamped the flower and sentiment from Pink Fresh Studio Folk Hummingbird. Then I added a diagonally cut piece of gel press panel and added the encircled ponies. They are free digital stamps from YamPuff.  Finally I added a couple of Nuvo drops and for the first time ever using these I felt they were successful. I slapped the card down onto my table a couple of times and by accident some flattened. I then did this for all of them because 1) they look more like enamel dots, which I like and 2) I don't have to worry about the humpty domes getting flat when I stack t

Alex Syberia Design March release

*reklame* Hello everyone! There's a new release available at Alex Syberia Design Etsy shop  and today I'm sharing a couple of cards to inspire you. I encourage you to check out the whole release because it is gorgeous! My first card features a couple of lowey dowey flamingos in spring colors, because I'm soooo ready for spring! To make one of the flamingos more feminine I also printed the Springtime flower image. I printed it very small and fuzzy cut it, cutting part of it off so it would fit on top of the flamingo's head. I'll be honest, it was a tricky one to cut 😉 I know, flamingos aren't normally pink but rather a more subdued coral. But "normal" went missing so I colored them pink! Copic colors used: RV25, RV13, RV11, RV10 + C9, C7 Y28, YR21, YR20, YR000 YG06, YG03, YG01 Using the Simple and Basic Slim Card dies I placed the flamingos on a panel cut from bronze glitter cardstock before adhering to the base which I'd blended with a bit of Sp

More gel press - for Operation skriv hjem

Hello everyone! Here's a really quick and cute card with quite an impact. A while back I made a bunch of cards featuring Fifty, the mascot for Operation skriv hjem (Operation write home). He's a free digital image from NNH Design. Back then I first colored this in greens and earth colors. Then I thought to ask if our troops are mostly in green, desert or navy camouflage. Turns out it's primarily desert troops, so this guy never made it onto a card. But, I couldn't leave him "hanging" and this background really screamed military pattern.  I just LOVE the big word dies and now we can get them with danish words as well - YAY! This one is from Gitte's eget design and simply means HUGS. I cut the middle layer from the gel press background.  Thanks for stopping by! Stay safe and happy crafting!
