Birthday card for Sis

Billede
Hello everyone! I'm back with a card that's anything but cas! I often find that making cards for a specific person is easier than "just" making a card that's for "anyone". And I've said before I'm a more-is-more kinda person. Yet sometimes I feel that maybe I went a bit too far... This may be more of a shabby chiec type of card. I don't know. What do you think? I started by coloring this fun Stamping Bella image - Uptown Girls Whitney and Wendy love wine. Those ruffles! And of course I had to give at least one dress a glitter treatment, lol! Oh, wait, what's that? Yes, they are glitter stilettos as well. Copics used: Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000 + R32, R20 Hair: E41, E43, E44 / E23, E25, E29 Dresses/Hats: RV69, RV29, RV25, RV23, RV21, RV10 / B39, B37, B26, B24, B23, B21 + BG57, BG53, BG01 Bottle/Wine: C7, C5, C3 + R89, R46, R35 I chose a square card base and a whole bunch of dies. Base layer is a patterned paper (local store) an

CAS is not me, but...

Hello everyone! It's kind of a weird time here. Daughter's back in school - her 3 week back. Hubby has been working all along. I'm staying at home, like I was before. So it feels like everything is "back to normal". Except it's not. Still lots of restrictions. Still rules to follow. I can't help thinking that, the longer it's been since everyone went back out there, the easier it will be to forget the restrictions. Or should I say, the harder it will be to remember them. I'm worried we'll see the consequences.... This little guy is for the MFT color challenge #141 and he "stands out" by missing the frame simply because I made this one first, and didn't think about the frame until after adhering the elephant. Oh well... Anyway, today I'm sharing a few more easy made CAS cards. CAS - clean and simple - cards are by no means "my thing". I keep thinking something is missing. However, these images were colored

AlexSyberiaDesign May Digi Stamp Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Billede
Hello everyone! Today I am SUPER excited to be part of Alex Syberia's blog hop for her new May release, which is now available in her  Etsy shop .  If you're new to my blog - Welcome!  In this release Alex created not only gorgeous flowers but also a couple of adorable Geisha dolls. I think they are too cute and I had to include them, so for my cards I sort of have a theme going - flower and Geisha combined. For this card I used Miss Peony and layered Kokeshi Doll Akemi on top. Peonies are one of my most favorite flowers and I colored it to look like one from my own garden. The sentiment "Bloom where you are planted" is selfmade and printed with the design. For all the cards I tried coloring the flowers as natural looking as I could, and the dolls in colors to match while not taking focus. I usually list the markers I've used, for your convenience and my future reference. Copics used  Peony: RV17, RV09, RV06, RV55, RV52 / G17, G14 / Y17, Y11

Mother's day

Billede
Hello everyone! And happy Friday! I hope you are all well. Mother's day was this Sunday here in Denmark, but since I want to give it to my Mom in person, she hasn't received it yet, and it probably will be a bit still. But I thought I'd take the risk and share. This was really easy to make since I'd already stamped the flowers last time I used this set. A great way to be upfront and ready to make a quick card. I stenciled the background using Classy stripes stencil. All inks are Altenew. I only used 4 flowers for this card, 2 pink, 2 orange. I placed them around the card to make sure they reached all the way around. I then adhered them next to each other, cut off the overhanging part and used thosed bits to cover the rest of the edge. I finished them off with Nuvo jewel drops. The letter cuts (meaning mom) are Altenew Bold alpha that I FINALLY got and used. I cut a few layers from white cardstock and topped with a gold/brass glitter paper from Michael stores. Ex

Another 3 for 1 - times 2

Hello everyone! If you stopped by yesterday, you'll recognize both sketch and color scheme on these cards. I simply love this sketch, so I had to make more cards. I sort of reversed the background, stamping the MFT Happy birthday background on top. On the lower panel of blue cardstock I white heat embossed a sentiment from New best friend. The cat is from Cool cat. Copics used: YR09, YR04, Y17, Y21 + RV10 I cut the Happy birthday circle frame from 2 tones of blue cardstock, using the darker in the centre. I adhered the cat, and added a paw print with orange ink. The text is showing through and I kinda wish you coukdn't. Oh, well... For the other card I turned the sketch upside down. It's the same birthday background stamp, stamped on the bottom in orange ink (Altenew). I reversed the birthday circle frame from the first card. The doggie is from Canine companions. Copics used: BG49, BG15, BG11 Sentiment, ball (stamped on blue cardstock) and stitch

MFT challenges - 1 for 3 times 2

Billede
Hello everyone! First, I hope you are all safe, whereever you are. Here in Denmark we are mowing forward to the second round of re-opening. My daughter started school this week. It's still a little worrying, I think, but statistics are good. My cards are inspired by the current sketch challenge at My favorite things. I really like this one! The mermaids were colored during the Daily marker 30 day coloring challenge by Kathy Racoosin. So it was quite easy to make these cards fit the current color and birthday challenges as well. The cards are identical, except for the mermaids. The background bottom is stamped with MFT Happy birthday background and a Waffle Flower crafts ink. The background top is MFT Whimsical waves background stamped on blue cardstock and embossed with WOW! clear embossing powder. The mermaids are also colored with the same colors. Copics used: E04, E11, E00, E000 + R32, R20 E41, E43, E44, E47 YR68, YR09, YR04, Y17, Y21 100, C1 I don'
