My Favorite Things sketch #499

Billede
Hey guys! I really like sketch challenges because I'm forced to think of a creative way to use my stams (or dies) that I may not have used them before. Some I like so much I create multiple cards. Like this one. And I even decided to use some of that patterned paper I had to have and haven't used. This first one even fits te current color sketch as well. Using stamps and coordinating dies from MFT Cooler with you colored with copics. In my mind the bear is sleighing down a hill in such high speed he sends the penguin in a swirl and his goggles fly off. The paper looks like the swirling snow, don't you think? I think it's from Joy! The snowman is from the same set as before. The trees are from MFT Polar pals. Sentiment is from Gittes eget design and means Wishing you a peaceful Christmas. A different paper pad, but also Joy! I think. I used the MFT Mod square stax. Same stamps and dies again. Sometimes just stick to what works and honestly it takes out all the thinking.

Guest designing for the Danish Operation Write Home - Operation Skriv Hjem

Hello everyone! Today I'm so excited to be guesting on the Danish OSH blog -  Operation write home . It's a privately run blog that collects cards for all occasions and sends them to our troops deployed all over the world. I first donated cards a couple of years ago and I really like the idea of the cards bringing joy to both troops and their loved ones. In unintended pun My favorite things really are my favorite crafty things and so I've used lots of MFT on these cards. I already had quite a few images ready and colored. For this CAS card I masked up the bottom and blend on a bit of Salty ocean oxide ink, then used Blueprint sketch oxide ink to stamp a few trees from Friends in the forest as well as a sentiment from Beast friends. Now all I needed was a yeti and gift also from Beast friends. Last year while making cards for OSH I came up with this idea of creating a scene yet only coloring some of the images. It saved me a lot of time and allowed for more cards

Billede
Hello everyone! I'm up on the Poppystamps blog today with 5-for-1 flower cards. I cut the Flora bloom solids from 5 different colors of Cardstock and adhered them to the cardbases in rainbow order. I clear heat embossed different flower sets ver the rainbow flowers. I used a mix of vellum, black cardstock and glitter paper for the wordcuts and coordinating shadows. In the end I stamped accompanying sentiments on all the cards. 5 quick and easy cards that are nice to have in your stash. More details on the Poppystamps blog . Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe and happy crafting. Tina

The congrats die, also from Gittes eget design, I colored with the markers as I used for the hair. I cut a circle from Doodlebug paper using a p

His and hers confirmation card

Hello everyone! I'm back. If just for a short notice. Summer break is happening and blogging is just not a priority right now.  Today I'm showing 2 custom made confirmation cards. Confirmations are usually happening in the spring but due to Covid-19 things have been postponed until late summer and fall. This is a Make it Crafty digital stamp. I copic colored and die cut using a My favorite things pierced circle die. Copics used: Dress: W3, W0, colorless blender Flowers: BV04, BV13, BV02, BV01 + Y11, Y28 + YG06, YG01 Skin: E13, E11, E00, E000 + R32, R20 + RV13 Eyes: B05, B02, B00 Hair: E51, E53, E55 I die cut this Dixi craft die 3 times, stacked them and first heat embossed with WOW! Royal crush but found it melted into the background. So I embossed 2 layers of Purple glitz on top. The pink of the Royal crush still shows through but I like it. And the layers of glitter embosing means the texture is more smooth. I love that! The recipient of this card

AAA Birthday challenge Game #15 3D

Billede
Hello everyone! It's July - can you believe it? I sure can't! I'm not even sure the weather is corresponsing. But today we are starting a new challenge over at AAA Birthday challenge blog and the theme is 3D. I decided on a Pop-up shadow box card with the whole herd getting together for a fun, festive birthday party. I used this  tutorial from Jennifer McGuire. However I dared change the card meassurements a bit even though I've failed at that before. This time it worked out though, lol. I cut 2 panels 15x18 cm (~5.9x7 inch) with my trimmer. I also cut 2 panels 15x15 cm. One of these smaller panels I will adhere to the back of the card for sturdiness and for a clean spot to write a birthday message. I scored the 2 large panels at ½" and 1" at both ends and creased the folds with my bonefolder. From one panel I then cut an oval window using a double pierced frame from Nellie Snellen. I first ink blended the front panel using Twisted citron, Mowed lawn
