70th birthday card

Billede
Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a custom made 70th birthday card for a friend of the family. He loves golf, beer and flowers and he's worked for a local news paper for ages. I knew I had to use Mo's digital pencil "Big guy golfing". The beer bottle and glass are from Three Scoops (bottle says cheers), tillykke (congrats) die from Gitte's eget design and the numbers from The Cat's Pajamas. I added a WOW! embossing powder mix to the numbers. I couldn't fit in flowers as well, so I stenciled the beautiful peonies from a Simon Says Stamp stencil. I wantes to add a braided patch of newspaper, so I cut a few strips and ripped the ends. I added newspaper to the word cut as well. In the end this card totally describes the birthday boy and I'm really happy with the results. Thanks so much for stopping by! Stay safe, and happy crafting! Tina

Just bloom

Hello everyone! Truth be told, I'm not a huge fan of slimline cards. That being said they do allow for a larger image, especially if the image is tall like this beautyful ballerina from Mo's digital pencil. I love her! Also I just figured out I can change the black lines of an image for no-line coloring. And although this image for no-line did intimidate me, sometimes you just gotta give it a go. Right?! Copics used: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000 E71, E74, E79 W7, W5, W3, W1 R85, R83, R81, RV10 For the background I used Victorian velvet oxide ink, first blended lightly then to stamp flowers from Poppystamps Blooming greetings. The sentiment is from the same set and white heat embossed on some brown grey cardstock that I die cut using My favorite things Elegant rectangle die. Please let me know in the comments if you like doing no-line coloring? Thanks for stopping by! Stay safe, and happy crafting! His and hers confirmation card

Billede
Hello everyone! I'm back. If just for a short notice. Summer break is happening and blogging is just not a priority right now.  Today I'm showing 2 custom made confirmation cards. Confirmations are usually happening in the spring but due to Covid-19 things have been postponed until late summer and fall. This is a Make it Crafty digital stamp. I copic colored and die cut using a My favorite things pierced circle die. Copics used: Dress: W3, W0, colorless blender Flowers: BV04, BV13, BV02, BV01 + Y11, Y28 + YG06, YG01 Skin: E13, E11, E00, E000 + R32, R20 + RV13 Eyes: B05, B02, B00 Hair: E51, E53, E55 I die cut this Dixi craft die 3 times, stacked them and first heat embossed with WOW! Royal crush but found it melted into the background. So I embossed 2 layers of Purple glitz on top. The pink of the Royal crush still shows through but I like it. And the layers of glitter embosing means the texture is more smooth. I love that! The recipient of this card...

Thank you card

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing one of those hard-to-do cards with a lot of feeling. We have the best vet! No doubt about it. I can text his mobile and he will answer when he has a miniute - after hours, weekend, even during his summer holiday. He just proved that this summer, with everything going on with Aslan, our dog that we sent across the rainbow bridge. We are so thankful for his help, so I made him this card. I wanted to do it sooner, but it was hard enough now. I broke down a couple of times during. I managed to really get it to look like him. When I showed it to my daughter she exclaimed 'Aslan!'. So yeah, tough one! I printed the Mo's digital pencil image "Nana" on Neenah cardstock. I'm guessing she's supposed to be the big nanny dog from Peter Pan, but she could go for a bernese mountain dog as well. I colored it with my Copics and cut it out with a My favorite things Wonky stitched rectangle die. Copics used: Aslan: C5,C7...
