Handmade Paper Hugs

Good morning, everyone! Can believe in 2 weeks Christmas is over and it's once again a whole year away. Days are moving really fast, for me at least.  Here are 3 cards I created with my new Tim Holtz Colorize Santa Greetings die.  Die cutting is not typically my thing so I struggled with these, I'll be honest. But I love the result, and the Santa is just the cutest. So it was all worth it.  For the background I used  Simon says stamp Center cut Christmas icons  Nellie Snellen tree dies I used a mix of cardstock, including some non shedding from Rema1000 for the trees and Santa beard, and Nuvo mirror card for MERRY and GOD JUL (merry Christmas).  I also added stickles for extra sparkle.  On the green trees I added Liquid Applique and added glitter before I set (puffed) it. That tiny bottle is finally completely empty, after 10 years, so now comes the hunt for a new one.  Hope you enjoy the cards. Merry Christmas to all.  Happy holiday crafting...

  Hello everyone! I'm sharing a custom made card for a young man celebrating his 18th birthday. Key words: hot babe. In Denmark we are generally more tolerant with this kind of thing. It's often joked with and not looked down upon. I figured he'd probably be into card as well, so I stamped and black heat embossed the cars from Honey Bee stamps Car show onto watercolor paper. Then I used a clear embossing paste through a new Gummiapan stencil No.3. I really like that one. Next I applied Tumbled glass and Faded jeans Distress ink re-inker directly to the top of the paper and sprayed liberally with my Distress water spray. I dried it in between layers and repeated the process with the bottom of the card. I also sprayed with Speckled egg and Spiced marmelade Oxide sprays. The hot babe is a Kenny K digital stamp.   Hello everyone! Did you see my last post on gel press? Well it was my first time playing with it and I made a bunch of backgrounds. And since I didn't want them to cover the intire card I cut them in half to make even more backgrounds. Then I went through my folder with colored images and found some to match. Easy peasy with the amount of images I've colored all through 2020. These cuties are from My favorite things Birthday Buds, aren't they adorable? I can just hear the birdie singing "Happy birthday to YOUUUU! For this card I chose to use the danish birthday stamps from Gitte's eget design that can be layered. I used inks from Hero Arts and Waffle Flower Except for the dark blue on the gel press paper. That's Faded jeans oxide ink.  The stencils used are from Tim Holtz and Taylored Expressions and the oxide ink comcos used on the 2 cards are  Victorian velvet, Fossilized amber, Faded jeans Cracked pistacio, Evergreen bough, Faded jeans I was going to stamp...

  Hello everyone! Today we are starting the February challenge over at AAA Birthday and the theme this month is A large sentiment. I haven't done anything out of the ordinairy with this card, but I'm really happy with the coloring. I used the gorgeous Sketched Peony digital stamp from Alex Syberia Design. My mom's birthday is in a few days and I hope she'll like the card. As always I used my Copics to color in the flower: RV69, RV17, RV09, RV06, RV04, RV02 YR24, Y11, Y02 I cut the panel with a rectangle die and cut out the Tillykke/"congrats" sentiment from the panel, both dies are from Simple and Basic. I cut out 5-6 more sentiments from pink cardstock, layered them and inlaid it into the panel which I adhered to a slightly larger pink panel. I hope you like my challenge inspiration this month.   Hello Everyone! Hope your year is off to a great start. Mine is tough, I tell ya! A new lockdown started after Christmas, they already prolonged once and home schooling is taking its toll on me and my daughter. Time for crafting is sparse and this set of cards took... A while.  So - these cards feature a nice portrait of Fifty the bear sending hugs. In case you don't know Fifty he's the very proud mascot of the Danish Operation Write Home - OSH. During our first lockdown last spring the designer from NHH Design created a series of free digital stamps featuring Fifty and I've only just now come to using them. I printed out a bunch of bears and colored him to fit the desert troops he will be "joining" soon. I did very simple coloring and almost no shading. Hello everyone! This without a doubt is my biggest project to date. And I'm so happy (and proud) of how it turned out. See this young woman on the right, a family friend (picture published with permission) asked if I could create 30 invitations for the christening of her daughter. No problem, right! She really liked a bokeh background I did a while back - man, did they take a long time to create. My arm was falling off by the 30th 😆 I had the layout all figured out. Background and label cut with Simple and Basic dies, cutie batootie MFT elephants colored, MFT Baby rattle and Altenew In-line alpha's cut. This year however, we've all been affected by a certain virus. So they've had to delay the christening. And now it was conveniently close to her 30th birthday, so she'd really like for me to add that. What a challenge it was to get this just right. Hello everyone! Today we're kicking off the August challenge over at AAA Birthday challenge blog and the theme is Tic Tac Toe. As you can probably tell I went with rainbow, window, patterned paper. I used Lawn Fawn paper and cut out using My favorite things Birthday Boy & Girl die. For the glittery background behind the window I used a left over piece of black cardstock that I smeared a layer of Ranger glossy embossing paste over and then sprinkled over with WOW! Sparkles in Your carriage awaits. I adhered this to the base and popped up the patterned paper for dimension. The images are from My favorite things Unicorns & glitter. I colored with Copics and stuck to primaries red, yellow and blue. I stamped a sentiment as well as a few stars. I popped up the images for dimension and it's all done for my daughter's birthday in a couple of weeks. She loves everything rainbow and unicorn.
