Handmade Paper Hugs

  Hello and welcome to my first (and perhaps only) diy Halloween potion blog post. Today is release day for the Potion Labels digital release over at Sweet November Stamps and I cannot tell you how much fun I had creating these labels, potions and vials. Grab a cuppa, 'cause this is a long post. The release offers 7 sets (6 label sets and 1 set of bottles), and each of the label sets contains a ready to use label + all the used elements as separate files, including a blank label, main image and texts. Hope that makes sense. It realy gives you huge amounts of posibilites. I've used the ready to use labels. I'll explain them separately with details on which Copics I used and the potions/content. And believe you me, they were all easy to make and I already had everything at home. The "vials" are jars and bottles from condiments, food oil, etc. that I was saving for diy projects. (Ad) Last weekend there was a new digital release at Sweet November Stamps. It's called Last days of summer and included 4 different images of girls enjoying their summer.  I wasn't able to create in time for the release, but I just couldn't resist Skylar. Especially since last weekend, coming home from our summer holiday, we brought our new pup, Simba. Our old boy Gomez sadly passed about a month ago, and the house has been way too quiet. I knew I wanted to create this card for my daughter, and the pup is colored to look like our little Simba, but I wasn't sure how to go about the background layout. I was thinking that I could color our garden, but it would be so heavy in greens. Looking for a sentiment I stumbled over an old MFT DT card by Adelle Emery, and I really liked the dispersed white on white hearts, so all credits to her.  The heart cut is from MFT Paw Prints, and sentiment from New best friend. Hey Rammy's! Today I'm sharing this adorable "Storytime" forest scene of Mr. Fox reading a bedtime story for forest friends. How adorable is this scene? I absolutely love it! I die cut the colored scene using a Mod Square die from My favorite things and adhered it on top of a square piece of patterned paper from Maker Forte/Alex Syberia.  I popped this up over a panel that I'd embossed using Tim Holtz Lumber embossing folder and then run over with a brown ink to accent the texture.  As a final touch I added a few gems and a sentiment from Hero Arts. Hey friends! The April release is now live over at RAM Stamps and it's a fun one for sure! It has everything you'll need to create a birthday card - a boy and a girl, lots os balloons, cute birds, bees and other bugs, flowers, hearts, stars, sentiments, numbers celebrating ages 1 through 10 AND a gorgeous paper pack to go with it all. Here I'll be sharing a fun pop-up box card and a much simpler card using some of the many files.  I decided to make this cute pop-up box card for my niece who turns 3 in May. I printed the girl, bird and flower as they are, tehy come in black and soft grey outlines. The balloon set comes as a finished panel and seperate balloons, and I made my own background to fit the back of the card. And what's so clever about the files is that you can layer them on top of the patterned paper, like I did here. Saved me the hassle of cutting these tiny cuties out. Hi friends! Easter is around the corner and I made this adorable wobble tag using the Spring Cookies: Cookie set 2 . I'm sure my daughter will love this cutie and these chocolate surprises - how adorable are they? I wanted more than my usual warm greys for shading white, so I brought in a bit of soft violets.   Hi friends! I am beyond ecstatic to announce that I've joined the Sweet November Stamps design team.  When I started making cards almost 10 years ago I bought layering stamps because I had no coloring skills nor intent to learn. Then I learned slowly by watching others color and Amy Young is who eventually gave me the confidence to color a whole card panel and creating my own backgrounds. So I feel very proud and honored. When adding these cuties to my folder I spotted the cute Playful kittens and thought it would be fun to have one of them playing with the fairy. Hey friends, today I'm sharing a card using Wondering Wabbit's Abbis mum . We'll, after seeing Abbis attitude I guess I can't blame Mum for her "mood poisening" 🤭 I just love these characters.  For this card I found an old piece of paper that I died with coffee. I had plans that it would still be visible after my play with Nuvo shimmer powders, but... Ack 🤷‍♀️ once I started there was no stopping me 🙈 I used Cherry bomb, Solar flare, Atlantis burst and Violet brocade.  Before doing that tough, I embossed the paper with Sunny Studios Sunburst embossing folder.
