  Hello everyone! I'm sharing a custom made card for a young man celebrating his 18th birthday. Key words: hot babe. In Denmark we are generally more tolerant with this kind of thing. It's often joked with and not looked down upon. I figured he'd probably be into card as well, so I stamped and black heat embossed the cars from Honey Bee stamps Car show onto watercolor paper. Then I used a clear embossing paste through a new Gummiapan stencil No.3. I really like that one. Next I applied Tumbled glass and Faded jeans Distress ink re-inker directly to the top of the paper and sprayed liberally with my Distress water spray. I dried it in between layers and repeated the process with the bottom of the card. I also sprayed with Speckled egg and Spiced marmelade Oxide sprays. The hot babe is a Kenny K digital stamp. Hello Everyone! Spring is finally here and today we're starting the March challenge over at AAA Birthday blog and our theme this month is patterned paper.  I'm sure you know I don't typically use a lot of patterned paper, so this was honestly a challenge for me. I know, I know, I could have chosen the easy path and slapped a piece of paper on a card and add a critter. That would no doubt be adorable,but I wanted to do something different. I found my inspiration with Laura Bassen. She is awesome with geometric cards! Since I'm sooo over winter I wanted warm vibes on this card. I found a paper pad (bought locally) and decided on 5 different prints and cut squares (around 1x1 inch) with my paper trimmer. I popped them up with craft foam for dimension. For extra summer vibes I stamped a pineapple using Honey Bee stamps Fineapple in colors matching the paper. I used Altenew and Hero Arts inks.   Hello everyone and welcome back! If you stopped by yesterday you know that I created a rare slimline card and since I made it quite large I had to also create my own envelope.  I know. This looks weird, right! But like I said the card was large, infact the whole width of my cardstock (which is just a teeny bit wider than the standard US cardstock). So I had to think out of the box. Well actually, I kinda cheated. You see, I remembered having seen a YouTube video of gift wrapping using scraps that were too small - see here - and that's the technique I used. I had to test on a piece of printer paper first as to not make too many folds in my cardstock, but eventually I made it fit. I then stamped a couple of the darling pandas from Simon says stamp Party like a panda, along with balloons, confetti and sentiments. Hello everyone! Today marks the start of a new challenge over at  AAA Birthday challenge blog . The theme this month is - Use vellum. There are so many "fine details" you can do with vellum. But I've long wanted to make a card with vellum over alcohol ink. I typically make several backgrounds when I play with alcohol inks. I use different combos and on some, like this, I add a mixative. This is gold. They tend to not blend as well as the inks, so I really tried hard to spread them. Perhaps even too much. Oh, well.... I then stamped the gorgeous roses from Honey Bee Stamps Everything wonderful on vellum with embossing ink. covered with Hero Arts gold embossing powder and heat set it. I don't have the die so I fuzzy cut the image. I added the tiniest dots of glue all around the back of the vellum and adhered it to my alcohol ink base.
