Halloween is near!

Billede
Hello everyone! Just dropping in to share this halloween card. I don't typically make a lot of halloween cards, but I bought this set last year and never got to play with it, so here we are. I started by copic coloring the stamped images from My favorite things Witch way is the candy: Witch: BV08, BV04, BV13, BV02 / RV95, RV93, RV91 / 100, C7, C5, C3 / YG17, YG03, YG01 / E77, E74, E71 / E15, E13, E11, E00 Broom: E99, E97 / E51, E53, E35 Cat: W7, W5, W3, W1 Pumpkins: YR09, YR68, YR04, YR21 / G94, G43, G40 Bats: E49, E47, E44, E43, E42  For the background I cut a mask with a circle die and placed on the panel. I also used a Simon says stamp stencil for the hill. I used Milled lavender, Wilted violet and Blueprint Sketch for the night sky, and Lucky clover and Cracked pistacio for the grass hill. To make the moon look realistic I used a few markers for shading - C3, C1, E51, E53. I white heat embossed a sentiment and popped up the witch and kitty for dimension. Thanks for stopping b

Birth board / Dåbstavle

Billede
Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing this custom made birth board. It's a danish tradition that we call "dåbstavle" or birth board - at least I haven't heard of anywhere else doing this 😅  It features the name of the new baby as well as birth data - date and time, hospital where birth took place, weight and lenght at birth. This piece is letter sized - 21x30cm or close to 8.5x11 inches. Although very large there isn't really a new or difficult technique to this, I just thought this large project deserved a little extra attention. So obviously some of this was done on my computer - the name (no fill) and all the data. Then I stamped the Sunny Studios Super Duper super heroes and added a few lightnings and puffs. Since this is for a boy I masked off the pony tail and hair bun on the girl images. Some of the speech bobbles were stamped, some were outlined from a Clearly Besotted stencil and a few were hand drawn.  Once everything was colored I masked off everything

AAA Birthday card challenge #18 Photo inspiration

Billede
Hello everyone! Today we are kicking off the AAA Birthday October challenge with a photo inspiration, and just look at those gorgeous fall colors. I'm sure you can find inspiration there. For this card I used the Concord & 9th Birthday basics turnabout stamp. I used 4 inks - green, yellow, orange and pink on a large panel so I can use the rest for a second card, but here I cut a panel with the second largest die from Simple and Basic pierced rectangles. I also cut a panel with the largest die from that set and colored the edges by swiping the same pink ink. I meassured out where I wanted my critter to place the YAY! and happy birthday stamps. After stamping that I used the brand new medium size "Organic shaped holes" die to cut through all 3 layers to create a window to the inside of the card. I made sure to put the cute hedgie in the correct position to create a tiny scene on the inside of the card. The images are from My favorite things Happy hedgehogs and colore
