Alex Syberia Designs Kickstarter Campaign | Instagram Hop 1 & Giveaway

Billede
Hello everyone! We are continuing the Alex Syberia Designs Kickstarter Campaign and today we're doing it on Instagram, so once you've made your way through my inspiration be sure to hop on over to my IG and follow the hop there to participate! Today I'm again featuring the cute penguins from "Smile and Wave", cute critters from "Birthday Wonderland" and an adorable kitty from "Sparkle & Dance". As soon as I saw this set I knew I wanted to make a galaxy background. To create the galaxy background I first blended a "rainbow" with Distress inks. I then darkened the edges and splattered white acrylic paint diluted with water over it. How adorable is this penguin?! I really love how this turned out. I chose to create a one-layer scene for a couple of the Birthday Wonderland critters, just a bit of masking and then I Copic colored the whole scene with snow covered mountains, foot prints and fallen leaves. Copics used: Hedgehog: E37, ...

Wish you the most beautiful day

Fun with Alex Syberia digital stamps

Billede
Hi everyone! It's been a while. Life happened. Let's just leave it at that. Things are not great, but I'm trying to get back to posting regularly. If you're not following me on Instagram, this might the time to do so, since I won't be posting all my projects here. You can find my IG here . Anyway, while I was temporarily doing inner maintenance, you may have unsuccesfully tried to purchase digital stamps at the Alex Syberia shop on Etsy. That is because she moved her shop to a new website - you can check that out here . For the first card I used Be Girly digital stamp . I just lov this one! As always I colored with my Copic markers, and I was going for a really glossy look. Markers used: RV69, RV66, RV55, RV52 E35, E34, E33, E31, E30 I printed the image twice and cut the 2 bows out of one of them. I colored them with the lightest pink marker and then added a mix of a pink translucent embossing powder (from Michael's) and a WOW embossing sparkles. I only glued ...

Fairies and gel press?

Billede
Hello everyone! Today I'm using more bits of my first ever play with gel press and oxide inks - find the combos here . I've been working to finish lots of cards for the next Operation write home shipment so I'll be sharing them over the next weeks. They have been delivered at a pick-up point and are currently en route to OSH Headquaters. For the first card I added a piece of gel press behind the Hello Bluebird photo frame. The faries and belongings are from The Greeting Farm Little faries set and they were colored a while ago so no combos for this one, sorry! I repeatedly stamped some of the tiny stamps from the set on the base of the card, for a little interest. I used Milled lavender oxide ink. The other 2 cards follow the same layout and came together really fast. For the sentiment I used Seedless preserves oxide ink, as this is also used on the gel press paper. Here I used Festive berries and I just love the spring feel on this one! As a final touch I added Nuvo drops. ...

More cute birthday cards for Operation write home

Billede
If you're making your way here during the weekend I wish you a Happy Easter!  So a few days ago I sat down and used most of my gel press backgrounds from a few weeks ago. I paired them with lots of images that were already colored. I guess you can say I cleaned out 😆 Here's a couple more. I continued using the Pinkfresh Folk Hummingbird flower, because leaving the background all white is just too cas for me and the stamp was already out. Then I added the diagonally cut gel press paper and stamped a sentiment. The sentiment as well as these cute critters are from My favorite things Birthday Buds. Since this little cutie party piglet doesn't have wings I turned the card base to stamp the flower at the top in stead. Again these flat enamel dots are actually Nuvo drops. As you can probably see they can get a bit rough on the edges, but I'm OK with that. For the last card I used a couple more images and opted to not stamp the flower. In stead I added a few fluffy, pink cl...

Hello everyone! I'm back with a birthday card I made for my daughters best friend. Of course it had to include unicorns and rainbows. With a slightly darker ink I stamped a sentemint from Gittes eget design. It means Wishing you a wonderful day. The congrats die, also from Gittes eget design, I colored with the markers as I used for the hair. I cut a circle from Doodlebug paper using a p...

Mother's day

Billede
Hello everyone! And happy Friday! I hope you are all well. Mother's day was this Sunday here in Denmark, but since I want to give it to my Mom in person, she hasn't received it yet, and it probably will be a bit still. But I thought I'd take the risk and share. This was really easy to make since I'd already stamped the flowers last time I used this set. A great way to be upfront and ready to make a quick card. I stenciled the background using Classy stripes stencil. All inks are Altenew. I only used 4 flowers for this card, 2 pink, 2 orange. I placed them around the card to make sure they reached all the way around. I then adhered them next to each other, cut off the overhanging part and used thosed bits to cover the rest of the edge. I finished them off with Nuvo jewel drops. The letter cuts (meaning mom) are Altenew Bold alpha that I FINALLY got and used. I cut a few layers from white cardstock and topped with a gold/brass glitter paper from Michael stores. Ex...

A rainbow of Dahlias

Billede
Hello everyone! I'm still playing with the new Alex Syberia digital stamps release. Today, another favorite flower of mine. The Dahlia. For this card I used the Dahilas slim card design and covered up the right side of the design to be able to add the Dahila cherish. This gave me 2 large flowers. I ink blended Shaded lilac, Worn lipstick, Mustard seed and Peacock feathers Distress inks, making sure to overlap for a full rainbow look. I was gonna leave at that, but... Well, I am a colorist, so I decided to add shading. Copics used: BV13, BV02, BV01 RV95, RV93, RV91 RV25, RV23, RV21, RV10 R22, R20 YR02, YR21 Y08, Y02 YG06, YG01 BG15, BG13, BG11 I added the panel to a black base, stamped a sentiment (Technique Tuesday - Just us girls) and added dots of clear Nuvo drops. I hope I've inspired you, and encourage you to check out the full release at Alex'  Etsy shop . I promise, you won't be disappointed! Thank you so much for s...
