Alex Syberia Designs Smile and Wave

Billede
Hey everyone, I'm up on the Alex Syberia Designs blog today with a set of cute cards that can be used for either birthday or Christmas and I absolutely love that these stamps can be used for both! I'm using the Smile and Wave  stamps and dies along with the Smile die .  **Add, since I'm on the design team, but the opinions are my own** The cards were made in the same way. I lightly spritzed a bit of water on both sides of my cardstock, to prevent too much warping. I then carefully added my color burst powders, for the pink card I used Lindy's magical shaker Magnolia magenta gold. I really love the wimsical look and thought these backgrounds were perfect for these cute penguins riding their snowboards. Sigh! Just look at those "golden" spots, much more shimmery in real life. And I really love the pink and blue speks in there. These penguins are having snow much fun, pun intended.   I Copic colored the darling penguins and die cut them with the coordinating

Happy Yappy Pawlidays

Hi friends! Shring more Christmas cards from last year for the Danish Operation write home. I used one of my favorite sets for Christmas - My favorite things Happy pawlidays along with Simon Says Stamp Christmas background, Simple and Basic dies, Altenew inks and Copic coloring. As you can see I added a bit of glossy accents to highlight the baubles and eyes. These pups are just too adorable. Don't you agree? Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it! Let me know in the comments which is your favorite. Stay safe, and happy crafting! Tina

Honoring THE Bella!

Billede
Hello everyone! Today a whole bunch of us Stamping Bella sistah's are honoring the creator and owner of Stamping Bella, Emily Block.  At first I was looking for something that would be sentimental, but I understand that Emily was a fun, vibrant person, so I changed directions. I'm sure she would have wanted us to enjoy making this card for her! Make it a celebration.  This is Girl on a Vespa, and I feel like she's big enough that a lot going on in the background would make it "messy". So after swiping an ink pad over the background a few times I drew a line, made a few doodles and stamped a couple of sentiments over it. All sentiments are from Hello Bluebird Rainbow script and they read: Oh happy day You make me smile You are my sunshine  Emily, our Forever Bella, may you rest in peace ❤   Copics used: Skin: E13, E11, E00, E000 + R32, R20 + RV17, RV10 Hair: E41, E43, E44 Hat: RV95, RV93, RV91 Dress: R89, R85, R83, R81 + W3, W0 Flowers: BV08, BV13, BV01 Vespa: BG78

Mama Elephant Snow Angels

Billede
Hi everyone! Sharing a couple of Christmas cards I made last year for the Danish Operation write home using Mama Elephant Snow Angels, My favorite things Joyous Christmas Sentiments, a couple of inks and Copics for coloring. On this last card I accidentally used a different color ink and it's more yellowish green than light blue. I didn't like it a lot, but opted to use it anyway. What do you think? Should I have thrown it out? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe, and happy crafting! Tina

Simple color burst winter cards

Billede
Hey everyone! Sharing a set of cards today. They were made in the same way.  Now, I colored these cuties from My favorite things first, and then created the backgrounds after so I would have coordinating colors. Remember to lightly spritz your watercolor paper on both sides, it won't stop warping completely but it will help so the paper doesn't just curls back on itself. And, although you can dry them with your heat tool I honestly prefer to let them air dry. In my opinion it makes a difference although techniccaly it shouldn't.   For the purple card I used Nuvo Lilac waterfall and Lindy's magical shaker Black forest. For the blue card I used Nuvo Atlantic burst and Lindy's magical shaker Bavarian blue. I have collected quite a few of these powderd and I love them all on their own, but they just create MAGIC! when used together. And the photos really don't do the shimmer any justice. The stamps are from My favorite things Warmest wishes and Winter buddies. I d
