Make it Crafty fairy freebie

Billede
Hello everyone! I LOVE Make it Crafty digital stamps. So you can imagine I was devastated when Zoe, the owner, shared that she will be closing the store 😢😢 This gorgeous Princess Fairy is 1 of 3 freebies with any purchase before the  Make it crafty store  closes in a few days. Run people, don't walk! I printed on Neenah, colored with Copics and fuzzy cut the image. Copics used: Dress: YR09, YR04, Y17, Y08, Y02, Y00 Hair: R00, R20, R22, R24, R29, R39 Wings: C1, R01 Crown: YR27, YR23, YR21, Y11 Skin: E11, E21, E00, E000 + RV23 Sentiment from Concord 9th Unicorn Awesomeness is heat embossed with WOW! gold sparkle embossing powder. I love the big puffy dresses and long wavy or curly hair Make it Crafty offers, and this fairy did not dissappoint. The longer process of meticulously getting the highlights right was exactly the coloring therapy I needed. Zoe, I will miss your shop! 💗💗💗 Thanks for stopping by, and happy crafting - I mean shopping...

Woodworker

Billede
Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing a custom made card for a graduate furniture woodworker. I printed the Lili of the valley Woodbench on Neenah, colored it with Copics and die cut it with a Simple and Basic Pierced rectangles die. Copics used: Clothes and tools: B99, B97, B95, B93, B91, W3, W1, W0 Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000 Hair: E41, E43 Shoes: W9, W7, W5  Workbench/toolbox/hammer: E47, E44, E43 Woodgrain/project: E23, E21 Floor: W3, W0 I wanted to incorporate a woodsy piece, so I used the Tim Holtz 3D Lumber embossing folder - I think it is SO cool! Gives such great dimension. I first lightly and a little splotchy inked up a panel with Ground espresso Oxide ink. I then applied the same ink to the embossing folder on the veiny side. Before running it through I spritzed with water to not break the cardstock, but I did it on the backside, to not ruin the coloration. I covered the base with patterned paper from Studio light. The Danish sentiment (Cong...

Hello everyone! Today I'm really honored to be a guest over at  The male room challenge blog . Who would have thought I would get to do that? Because male cards are a little hard to do, right? Birthday card for my niece

Billede
Hello everyone! Thursday was not only my Dad's birthday, but also my little niece's first birthday. I can't believe she's 1 already! She's in such a hurry - walking at 9 months, throwing things, climbing onto things in order to reach, eating hardy meals, etc. We've all celebrated her (and her daddy) today, and I told Mommy (my sis) that I expected my niece to have her own cake. Well, here's one at least, lol! On Neenah cardstock I printed The Paper Shelter You're my cuppycake, colored it with Copics and die cut with a Nellie Snellen Straight dotted oval die. I wanted the hair color close to reality (yes, she's hot tempered, ha!), but man was it difficult matching girly colors with that color hair! Copics used: Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000, R20 Lips: RV14, RV13, R20 Hair: YR21, YR23, YR27, E37 Skirt + buttercream: R85, R83, R81, RV11 Blouse: BV17, BV13, BV02, BV00 Chocolate cake: E49, E59, E25, E23 Vanilla cake: E25, E34, E31 ...

Thank you card

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing one of those hard-to-do cards with a lot of feeling. We have the best vet! No doubt about it. I can text his mobile and he will answer when he has a miniute - after hours, weekend, even during his summer holiday. He just proved that this summer, with everything going on with Aslan, our dog that we sent across the rainbow bridge. We are so thankful for his help, so I made him this card. I wanted to do it sooner, but it was hard enough now. I broke down a couple of times during. I managed to really get it to look like him. When I showed it to my daughter she exclaimed 'Aslan!'. So yeah, tough one! I printed the Mo's digital pencil image "Nana" on Neenah cardstock. I'm guessing she's supposed to be the big nanny dog from Peter Pan, but she could go for a bernese mountain dog as well. I colored it with my Copics and cut it out with a My favorite things Wonky stitched rectangle die. Copics used: Aslan: C5,C7...

Guest designer for Digi Doodle Studios

Billede
Hi everyone! Today I'm guest designing for  Digi Doodle Studios .  I used the adorable  For the love of Dawn  digi.  I printed the image on Neenah cardstock and colored it with my Copics. I then used the largest Spellbinders Labels 23 die to die cut the image. I also used a white gelly roll pen and a Wink of stella clear sparkle pen for highlights. I used the largest MFT Wonky stitched rectangle die to cut the pink cloudy patterned paper from Gummiapan. I popped up the image with craft foam and offset it. I then die cut the My favorite things Friends die-namics and the heart from the MFT Paw prints. I ink blended them with Picked Raspberry Distress ink, and then came in with Black soot Distress ink for an ombre look. I popped them up, ran over them with Wink of stella clear sparkle and Nuvo glaze for a glossy look.  Finally I added a sentiment from the Newton's Nook Woof pack. I white heat embossed it on ...

Tickled pink

Billede
Hi there and welcome! Here's another colored digital image. This is the Lemon Shortbread Flamingo colored with Copics and then die cut with the largest My favorite things Stitched Pinking edge square die. With the same die I also die cut from patterned paper. The sentiment is the Hero Arts Hello stamp and cut. First I die cut the hello 4 times from pink cardstock. To create the ombre look I first embossed the top layer with 4(!) layers of WOW! Opaque pastel pink embossing powder. Then I applied the WOW! embossing ink ONLY to the lower part of the cut out and covered it with WOW! Metalline red embossing powder and heat set that as well. I used the same embossing powder to emboss "beautiful" on pink cardstock. TIP: The die does not come with a shadow, but i turned it upside down on a pink piece of cardstock and used a pencil to draw along the edge of the die and then handcut it. You can do this with all your dies, and noone will ever know. On a panel...
