RAM stamps Storytime

Billede
Hey Rammy's! Today I'm sharing this adorable "Storytime" forest scene of Mr. Fox reading a bedtime story for forest friends. How adorable is this scene? I absolutely love it! I die cut the colored scene using a Mod Square die from My favorite things and adhered it on top of a square piece of patterned paper from Maker Forte/Alex Syberia.  I popped this up over a panel that I'd embossed using Tim Holtz Lumber embossing folder and then run over with a brown ink to accent the texture.  As a final touch I added a few gems and a sentiment from Hero Arts. Copic combo Fox E08, E99, E97 + 100, C9, C7, C5, C3, C1 Owl E44, E43, E42, E41 + E77 Hedgehog E44, E43, E42 + 100 + E79, E74, E71 Bunny E33, E31, E30 Bird B99, B97, B95 All cheeks RV11 Road E51, E53, E55 + E44, E43 Trees E55, E57, E59 (E53)  Book B99, B97, B95 + E51 Rock W7, W5, W3 Leaves/grass G99, G94, G43 Background Y21, Y35, Y17, YR15, YR18, V15, B91, B93, B95 Thanks for by, and happy crafting! Santa banner cards

Billede
Good morning, everyone! Can believe in 2 weeks Christmas is over and it's once again a whole year away. Days are moving really fast, for me at least.  Here are 3 cards I created with my new Tim Holtz Colorize Santa Greetings die.  Die cutting is not typically my thing so I struggled with these, I'll be honest. But I love the result, and the Santa is just the cutest. So it was all worth it.  For the background I used  Simon says stamp Center cut Christmas icons  Nellie Snellen tree dies I used a mix of cardstock, including some non shedding from Rema1000 for the trees and Santa beard, and Nuvo mirror card for MERRY and GOD JUL (merry Christmas).  I also added stickles for extra sparkle.  On the green trees I added Liquid Applique and added glitter before I set (puffed) it. That tiny bottle is finally completely empty, after 10 years, so now comes the hunt for a new one.  Hope you enjoy the cards. Merry Christmas to all.  Happy holiday crafting...

It's party time!

Hey everyone! Here's a slimline card featuring another cute Krista leigh Smith digital stamp. She's from the Decade fashion collection.  It's not like me to make a card this simple, but I felt like she needed her own space. Sentiment from Mama Elephant, glitter cardstock from Memory Box and the ticket thingy is from Tim Holtz. Copics used Skin: E35, E34, E33, E31 + RV14 Eyes: E59, E37 Lips: RV66, RV09 Hair: E23, E25, E27, E29 Dress: RV69, RV66, RV52 Pants: E99, E97, E95 Shoes: RV66, RV52 + W7, W5, W3 Thanks so much for stopping by! Fairies and gel press?

Billede
Hello everyone! Today I'm using more bits of my first ever play with gel press and oxide inks - find the combos here . I've been working to finish lots of cards for the next Operation write home shipment so I'll be sharing them over the next weeks. They have been delivered at a pick-up point and are currently en route to OSH Headquaters. For the first card I added a piece of gel press behind the Hello Bluebird photo frame. The faries and belongings are from The Greeting Farm Little faries set and they were colored a while ago so no combos for this one, sorry! I repeatedly stamped some of the tiny stamps from the set on the base of the card, for a little interest. I used Milled lavender oxide ink. The other 2 cards follow the same layout and came together really fast. For the sentiment I used Seedless preserves oxide ink, as this is also used on the gel press paper. Here I used Festive berries and I just love the spring feel on this one! As a final touch I added Nuvo drops. ...

More gel press backgrounds

Billede
Hello everyone! Did you see my last post on gel press? Well it was my first time playing with it and I made a bunch of backgrounds. And since I didn't want them to cover the intire card I cut them in half to make even more backgrounds. Then I went through my folder with colored images and found some to match. Easy peasy with the amount of images I've colored all through 2020. These cuties are from My favorite things Birthday Buds, aren't they adorable? I can just hear the birdie singing "Happy birthday to YOUUUU! For this card I chose to use the danish birthday stamps from Gitte's eget design that can be layered. I used inks from Hero Arts and Waffle Flower Except for the dark blue on the gel press paper. That's Faded jeans oxide ink.  The stencils used are from Tim Holtz and Taylored Expressions and the oxide ink comcos used on the 2 cards are  Victorian velvet, Fossilized amber, Faded jeans Cracked pistacio, Evergreen bough, Faded jeans I was going to stamp...

First thoughts on Gel Press

Billede
Hello everyone! Before we start you may wanna go grab a cuppa. This is a longer post than usual 😉 I've always steared clear from mixed media thinking it was way too many impressions in one piece of paper, lol 😅 However lately I've found that there are ways to use layers and glitter in mixed media, so I warmed up to it. Which led to the obvious question - what exactly is mixed media? Turns out it really just describes the use of more than one medium. So in a way pretty much every card I've ever made is mixed media. Although most of us probably wouldn't put them in that category. I started watching videos of mixed media projects on YouTube. Lots of videos. There are soooo many possibilities and adding color to paper on a gel plate is only one of them. Originally they are intended for acrylic paint, but also work with regular and oxide Distress inks and alcohol ink, which I'm looking forward to try. But if you want to give gel press a try I do recommend you get you...

You're super!

Hello everyone! The daily marker 30 day coloring challenge has ended, but thankfully will restart on April 7th. Here I used a few super kids from the Sunny Studios Super duper stamp set. Scroll down for 3 different cards. Copics:  Suit: B29, B24, B23, B21  Hair: E23, E25, E27, E59  Gloves: C9, C7, C5  Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000 The background is Cracked pistacio, Peacock feathers, Mermaid lagoon, Blueprint sketch and Black soot distress inks. I also used the black with the Altenew City scene stencil. Once the ink had dried I added details with a white gelly roll pen. Very similar card. I'm realizing now that speed wind gust may look like a fart - haha, it's not 🙈 Anyway, I used Squeezed lemonade, Worn lipstick, Picked raspberry and Seedless preserves for the background. Copics: Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000 Boots/belt: 100, C7, C5  Suit: RV09, RV06, RV4, RV02 Hair: I tried putting down both sides of the stencil here, using black f...

A super-baby baby card...

Billede
Some people have all the luck and get pregnant really easy. Others battle unwanted childlessness for years due to disease, miscarriages or, in my case, for unknown reasons. Today's card is custom made for a couple that's gone through a rough spot. I was given 2 criteria - some kind of superhero and for a boy. I used Sunny Studios Super duper. I stamped one of the guys, colored him with Copics and fuzzy cut the image. I first ink blended the background using Tumbled glass, Salty ocean, Blueprint sketch and Chipped sapphire Distress oxide ink. I then sponged white pigment ink (I use Hero arts Unicorn white) through the bottom of Newton's Nook Tumbling hearts stencil. So love will always catch the little boy if he falls. I then heat embossed a setiment using WOW! Midnight dream embossing powder. I also heat embossed a My favorite things sentiment at the top of the card using WOW! Opaque bright white. I then used some Tim Holtz opaque texture paste through a co...
