AAA Birthday challenge Game #16 - Tic Tac Toe

Billede
Hello everyone! Today we're kicking off the August challenge over at AAA Birthday challenge blog and the theme is Tic Tac Toe. As you can probably tell I went with rainbow, window, patterned paper. I used Lawn Fawn paper and cut out using My favorite things Birthday Boy & Girl die. For the glittery background behind the window I used a left over piece of black cardstock that I smeared a layer of Ranger glossy embossing paste over and then sprinkled over with WOW! Sparkles in Your carriage awaits. I adhered this to the base and popped up the patterned paper for dimension. The images are from My favorite things Unicorns & glitter. I colored with Copics and stuck to primaries red, yellow and blue. I stamped a sentiment as well as a few stars. I popped up the images for dimension and it's all done for my daughter's birthday in a couple of weeks. She loves everything rainbow and unicorn. Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to hop on over the AAA Birthday blog ...

Farm animal fun

Billede
Hi everyone! Well, maybe it's this stay-home situation that got to my head, but I needed a little fun. So today I played with Simon says stamp Birthday farm animals. And if you're anything like me, you buy lots of patterned paper that you hold on to for that one special project, but never use. Today I rectified that. For a little extra fun the balloon was given a layer of stickles AND Nuvo glaze on top. Copics for piggy: E07, E04, E11, R11, E000 Paper from Lawn Fawn and Reverse Confetti and My favorite things Cross stitch square dies. Paper from Lawn Fawn cut with MFT Stitched star dies and I added more O's to the Moo sentiment. A cow goes Moooo... Right? More stickles and Nuvo glaze to the stars. Although stickles don't usually shed I covered with Nuvo glaze because I'm donating these to the Danish operation write home. And there must not be any loose glitter. It can kill. For this I used Avery Elle bookmark to cut paper from Memory Box and Do...

Always be a mermaid

Billede
Hi there! Today we are starting our summer holiday and I wanted to make a card for my daughter. I just had to color up this new Digi Doodles Serina mermaid!    The background was created by ink blending Milled lavendar, Tumbled glass and Mermaid lagoon Distress inks over the Taylored Expressions Sweet scallop stencil. I printed the mermaid and a sentiment from Digi Doodles Mermaid sentiments. I colored the mermaid with my copics in my favorite colors, pink and teal, and fuzzycut it out.  I decided the card needed a shaker element and I used the TE Be a mermaid tail die. I die cut the tail from the background and popped up the background with 2 layers of craft foam. I placed the cut out tail in the negative space. I made sure to prep with my antistatic powder bag and added clear sequins and violet glitter before placing the background on top. I popped up the mermaid and the sentiment. The sentiment is cut with a frame from Lawn Faw...

TE Be a mermaid

Billede
Hello! Eeeeeek! The Taylored Expressions Be a mermaid stamps and dies just arrived! I was so excited to play with these! I also got a couple of new stencils, because i LOVE! stencils! So versatile and adds so much to a card. There are so many possibilities with these new godies, but I started out with these simple yet impactful cards. For the first card I used the TE Sweet scallop stencil. I placed the stencil over watercolor cardstock, flipped them over and taped them together on the back. I wanted to use Nuvo glimmer paste in Blue topaz, but I thought I'd try ink blending the background. I used Cracked pistacio, Mermaid lagoon and Wilted violet  Distess oxide inks and I wasn't too careful blending the colors, because I honestly didn't think it would show this much. But I'm so glad it does! I smeared over the glimmer paste and set it aside to dry.  On a piece of regular cardstock I ink blended 2 areas large enough to fit the mermaid...
