AAA Birthday challenge Game #23 Patterned paper

Billede
Hello Everyone! Spring is finally here and today we're starting the March challenge over at AAA Birthday blog and our theme this month is patterned paper.  I'm sure you know I don't typically use a lot of patterned paper, so this was honestly a challenge for me. I know, I know, I could have chosen the easy path and slapped a piece of paper on a card and add a critter. That would no doubt be adorable, but I wanted to do something different. I found my inspiration with Laura Bassen. She is awesome with geometric cards! Since I'm sooo over winter I wanted warm vibes on this card. I found a paper pad (bought locally) and decided on 5 different prints and cut squares (around 1x1 inch) with my paper trimmer. I popped them up with craft foam for dimension. For extra summer vibes I stamped a pineapple using Honey Bee stamps Fineapple in colors matching the paper. I used Altenew and Hero Arts inks. I popped it up and added a bit of shimmer with my very dry Wink of stella. The st...

Billede
Hello everyone! The all new Alex Syberia Design June release is now live. We're celebrating with an Instagram hop with 5 gift cards to Alex's shop. Hop on over to my Instagram account or go directly to Alex's Instagram account to start from the top.  As it is a June release it's all about summer. And here in Denmark fresh strawberries bought directly from the farm is a clear indication that summer is here. I spritzed the leftover ink on my glassplate with water and splattered over the panel. I did the same with a black and gold acrylic paint.  I backed the strawberry panel with a thin strip of black cardstock and another strip that I had heat embossed with Hero Arts Gold embossing powder and adhered it to the base. From black car...

Billede
Hello everyone! The new Alex Syberia digital stamps release is now available in her  Etsy shop  and I am very honored that she chose me to play with and color her gorgeous designs. My first card features the Lily stamp. I printed it on Neenah and copic colored according to my favorite lily. Bold, yet subtle, and so wonderfully fragrant. I can almost smell it. Copics used: RV25, RV23, RV21, RV10 YG13, YG11, YG06, YG03, YG01 E09, YR68 G28, G17, G14, YG11 I cut the panel with a My favorite things Wonky stichted rectangle die and fuzzy cut the top off. For base I chose a dark grey cardstock. I stamped the My favorite things Bold diagonal stripes with embossing ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts silver embossing powder. I cut the Hero Arts Hello stamp and cut die from white cardstock and colored it with copics using the same pinks as for the lily. I stamped a couple of sentiments from that set and added stickles to the hello and lily. 'Cause you gotta ha...

Epilepsy awareness day

Billede
Hello everyone! Until a few days ago I didn't even know there was an epilepsy awareness day. But when I found out that through Time Out challenge blog that March 2th is just that, I had to join. You see, my Bonita (the doggie we just lost) had stress-induced epilepsy. I hope to never see another epileptic cramp again 🙏 But did you know not all seizures are visible? Some seizures puts the patient in a sort of trance, and some go by unnoticed for years. Either way, it's scary. Purple is the color for epilepsy and the sea horse is a symbol of it, because the seizures take place in the brains Hippocampus, which in latin means sea horse. So I stamped the Hero Arts layered Sea horse using Altenew purple inks. I used the same inks to ink smoosh the background. I also stamped a few more sea horses and stenciled through Taylored Expressions Splash stencil. I didn't move the stencil. Instead I added a bit of Nuvo Moonstone glimmer paste for a little sparkle. The sentiment...

Hello everyone! Today I'm really honored to be a guest over at  The male room challenge blog . Who would have thought I would get to do that? Because male cards are a little hard to do, right? Thank you so much for having me! The theme is a fun one - HALLOWEEN! The Digi Doodle Designs Manny Mummy was a freebie at Kit and Cowder and I thought it was perfect for this card! Tickled pink

Billede
Hi there and welcome! Here's another colored digital image. This is the Lemon Shortbread Flamingo colored with Copics and then die cut with the largest My favorite things Stitched Pinking edge square die. With the same die I also die cut from patterned paper. The sentiment is the Hero Arts Hello stamp and cut. First I die cut the hello 4 times from pink cardstock. To create the ombre look I first embossed the top layer with 4(!) layers of WOW! Opaque pastel pink embossing powder. Then I applied the WOW! embossing ink ONLY to the lower part of the cut out and covered it with WOW! Metalline red embossing powder and heat set that as well. I used the same embossing powder to emboss "beautiful" on pink cardstock. TIP: The die does not come with a shadow, but i turned it upside down on a pink piece of cardstock and used a pencil to draw along the edge of the die and then handcut it. You can do this with all your dies, and noone will ever know. On a panel...

Happy Mother's day

Billede
This card was put together quite fast since I already  had the alcohol ink background laying around.  I always make a bunch when i  pull out my alcohol inks.  This one has a little gold foil. I started by cutting the alcohol ink panel with a  Create a Smile stamps scalloped rectangle die. I die cut the Simon Says Stamp flower cluster 10 times and layered 5 on top of each other. Top layer is covered in Hero Arts Gold embossing powder.  I then placed them in an oval on the panel. For sentiment I used a Create a Smile stamps "Du" die and a Gummiapan stamp. Sentiment means You are wonderful. For finishing touches I embellished with a few drops  Morning Dew Nuvo glitter drops. With lots of dimension this card qualifies for the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge Dimension, as well as their Wednesday challenge For a special lady. Enjoy your Sunday and don't forget to make a mother feel special today. ...
