Friends of Rachel Vass IG hop

Billede
Hello everyone! Today we are celebrating our friendship with Rachel Vass. Rachel is a very talented artist and a wonderful human being. A bunch of crafters joined forces to share lots of amazing inspiration using Rachel's gorgeous digital stamps. Check them out in her Etsy store here ! Hop on over to my instagram to join the IG hop with some amazing prizes to be won and of course to check out all the inspiration 😉 Initially I was going to make an anniversary card with those cute bunnies from the Hugs set but then decided I needed a card for a friend. I created the 2 flower borders by layering 4 different elements from the Special to me set . And yes, you guessed it. I Copic colored them using these markers: RV25, RV13, RV10 G05, G02, YG11 E30, E31, E33, E34, E35 W3, W1, W0 I used an oval frame from Nellie Snellen to cut an opening in my cardbase and adhered the fuzzy cut flower borders at the edge. On the inside of the card I ink blended a bit of Tumbled glass and Mermaid lago...

AAA Birthday card challenge #18 Photo inspiration

Billede
Hello everyone! Today we are kicking off the AAA Birthday October challenge with a photo inspiration, and just look at those gorgeous fall colors. I'm sure you can find inspiration there. For this card I used the Concord & 9th Birthday basics turnabout stamp. I used 4 inks - green, yellow, orange and pink on a large panel so I can use the rest for a second card, but here I cut a panel with the second largest die from Simple and Basic pierced rectangles. I also cut a panel with the largest die from that set and colored the edges by swiping the same pink ink. I meassured out where I wanted my critter to place the YAY! and happy birthday stamps. After stamping that I used the brand new medium size "Organic shaped holes" die to cut through all 3 layers to create a window to the inside of the card. I made sure to put the cute hedgie in the correct position to create a tiny scene on the inside of the card. The images are from My favorite things Happy hedgehogs and colore...

MFT sketch challenge + birthday project

Billede
Hello! I've been constructing this card in my head for a while now, and I thought it would be a perfect fit for the current sketch challenge (see down below) and birthday project (peek-a-boo). My idea was to create a space shuttle with the astronaut looking out of a porthole to reveal an extraterrestrial birthday party inside the shuttle. Admitted, I am stretching the sketch a bit, but not too far. I started by cutting the panel 4,25"x5,75". I then scored at 5½". The extra 1/4" will be attached to the back of the other panel to create the double card effect.  To create the space shuttle I used the rounded corner of the largest mod rectangle die and traced it with a pencil. I traced a circle die for the "nose" and drew lines to indicate the tiles there.  I used my copics to color the nose and shade along the pencil line and down the sides of the panel. I used 2 pierced circle dies to cut from silver cardstock for the edge of t...
