Take flight

Billede
Hi Everyone! Today I wanted to make a simple card for The Male Room challenge blog - mwahahaha, me and simple... Anyway, the theme is Flight so I stamped a cute dragon from Magical dragons. I thought I'd combine it with the color challenge at My favorite things, so I colored it accorsingly with my copics and fuzzycut it out. I added details with my white gelly roll pen and with a needle I added a tiny bit of black Nuvo drops to emphasize the eyes. I also cut a cloud using the cloud die from MFT End of the rainbow. I stamped a sentiment using Altenew Desert night ink and I also wiped the ink cube along the edge and over every puff on the cloud.  Copics used: B99, BG09, BG07, BG57, G05, YG06, YG01 I cut a panel with the stitched rectangle from MFT Blueprints 29 and dry embossed it with a Sizzix embossing folder. I bought it second-hand and I can't find the name. But it's a scalloped waves look. I backed it with a panel that I had colored with

Cooler summer mornings

Billede
Hello and welcome, We are closing in on fall temps and colors, but there's still time to enjoy the summer mood! I'm still working on some of my many digital images. I just love the versatility. I printed the Graciellie Brew like a boss Hibiscus cold brew image and one of the sentiments from the Fall wishes set on Neenah cardstock. I colored the image with my Copics and fuzzycut it out. The sentiment, which I need to put by my bed btw, I cut with my guillotine and softly blended Picked Raspberry oxide ink over it.  The smaller panel is actually part of a background made a while ago that I had tossed, not liking it. Ink smooshed background using Squeezed lemonade, Spiced marmelade and Picked Raspberry Distress ink - this I loved by the way. Then I smeared texture paste over through the Simon Says Stamp Star medallion stencil and covered with WOW! Pink Fizz embossing glitter, a technique I love! Except it just looked messy. Here I cut it down to about half si

Birthday card for my princess

Billede
Hi everyone, Today is my big girl's 6th birthday. She had her first day of school ever this last Monday. I can't belive how big and independent she is already. For her birthday card she asked for a unicorn. So the search was on for a perfect unicorn to fit on an infinity shaker card. I chose the Whimsy Stamps Mystic. That big curly mane spoke to me. Although rainbow would've been the obvious color choice - 'cause unicorn and it's my daughter's favorite - I chose another favorite of hers, purple. Mostly because I don't have rainbow sequins lol. I stamped on Neenah cardstock, colored with Copics and fuzzy cut it out. Who would've thought Copic V's and BV's work so well together! The horse anatomy is not too well known for me, although I do love horses. But I took inspiration from the shading on the packing for the stamp. And of course I had to shimmer it up with my Spectrum noir Clear sparkle pen. To create the panel for t

Tickled pink

Billede
Hi there and welcome! Here's another colored digital image. This is the Lemon Shortbread Flamingo colored with Copics and then die cut with the largest My favorite things Stitched Pinking edge square die. With the same die I also die cut from patterned paper. The sentiment is the Hero Arts Hello stamp and cut. First I die cut the hello 4 times from pink cardstock. To create the ombre look I first embossed the top layer with 4(!) layers of WOW! Opaque pastel pink embossing powder. Then I applied the WOW! embossing ink ONLY to the lower part of the cut out and covered it with WOW! Metalline red embossing powder and heat set that as well. I used the same embossing powder to emboss "beautiful" on pink cardstock. TIP: The die does not come with a shadow, but i turned it upside down on a pink piece of cardstock and used a pencil to draw along the edge of the die and then handcut it. You can do this with all your dies, and noone will ever know. On a panel

You are beautiful

Hello there,  Today I have a fun card for you, so grab a cuppa 'cause there's lots of details! I started with the background. I used the My favorite things Roses background, my Misti, 4 watercolor markers and a water spritzer. After placing the stamp in my Misti I scribbled the markers on the stamp, making sure I colored the whole thing and trying not to overlap. I wanted pink and blue, not purple. I then spritzed a couple of times with my water spritzer and closed the Misti door. I let the stamp sit for a few seconds before removing it. I set the background aside to let it dry. On Neenah cardstock I printed this cute "She is charming" digital image from The Paper Shelter. I also printed a mirrored image. I colored the images with Copics as alike as possible. The original image was fuzzy cut. The other was die cut with the second smallest MFT linked chain circle. I felt the circle frame could easily be a mirror frame. After die cutting t

Challenge mash-up

Billede
Hi there, So, I've been MIA for a while and I wanted to join in some challenges. So, I did what I really love doing - combining challenges. I had a couple of themes to pair: Purple (+2 neutrals /black/white) One-layer Simon Says Stamp product MFT sketch #448 WOW! pearl embossing powder This is what I came up with! I first stamped the My favorite things Adorable elephant and sentiment using my Misti. I then covered the elephant and sentiment with a piece of paper that I tore. I wasn't too careful with it. Then I placed the Simon says stamp Kaleidoscope background stamp over it and stamped with WOW! embossing ink. I then covered with WOW! white pearl embossing powder and heat set it. To fit it to the My favorite things sketch #448 I dug out some washi in 3 widths and used the grid on my Tonic glass plate to place them. I made sure they weren't too sticky to prevent any tearing of the cardstock.  I then ink blended Shaded lilac, Wilted v

AAA Birthday game #4

Billede
Hello and welcome! Today we are starting a new challenge over on the AAA Birthday challenge blog. It's the blog's 4th challenge and since we celebrated girls last month, the theme for game #4 is "For the boys" and you can find it here:  Game #4 For the boys So today i am sharing this cool interactive dinosaur card with you! Grab a large cuppa, 'cause this has lots of details! To create the background I made a couple of stencils from Post-It's. I find this the easiest and if the stick isn't enough I add Tombow Mono Multi glue and let it dry until it's sticky. First I used the large My favorite things Grassy egdes die. I meassured out where the slider panel should be, and then placed the top of the cut paper to mask off the top of the panel. I used Twisted citron and Moved lawn Distress inks for the grass. I also cut a piece of cardstock with the smaller grass die and colored it with the same inks. Keep in mind - this piece must be ta

Surf's up!

Billede
Hey everyone, The male room challenge theme is Surf's up, and I thought I'd join! To fit all my elements in I chose a square card this time. The background was first ink blended with Squeezed lemonade, Twisted citron and Tumbled glass oxide inks. Then I placed the Taylored Expressions Splash stencil over it, and used the same inks on top. I printed 2 Make it crafty digital stamps on Neenah white cardstock. Thery are Surfer dad (the Surfer dad dreaming version that's included) and Palm trees. I colored them with my Copics and fuzzy cut them out. I added details with my white Gelly roll pen. I mostly used the same colors on the dream part of the image and added a tiny bit of sparkle with my Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen. I really think this vibe of this image! If you can dream it, you can do it! I popped up both images with craft foam. I don't usually do this, as I find the cards get too bulky. But I really wanted the dimensi

Pirate mermaid

Billede
Hello everyone! I've been quiet for a while. If you follow me on Instagram, you already know why. Last Friday one of our doggies crossed the rainbow bridge and I'm heartbroken. I didn't think I'd find the energy to craft, but like many times before the coloring process is good for me. It takes my mind off of things. So today I'm sharing this pirate mermaid card with you. Digital stamp seem to challenge me more in my coloring. Larger images, more details. And that's just what I needed! I first printed this digital Faery Ink Pirate Mermaid Jolly Roger on Neenah cardstock and colored it with my Copics. I then cut it out with a My favorite things Mod stitched rectangle die. So, she's perched on a rock wearing a longfull look on her face and a pirate's hat. Obviously she's missing someone special. And with everything that's been going on here, the MFT Miss you die just seemed appropriate. I die cut it from white carstock 4 tim
