Woodworker

Billede
Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing a custom made card for a graduate furniture woodworker. I printed the Lili of the valley Woodbench on Neenah, colored it with Copics and die cut it with a Simple and Basic Pierced rectangles die. Copics used: Clothes and tools: B99, B97, B95, B93, B91, W3, W1, W0 Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000 Hair: E41, E43 Shoes: W9, W7, W5  Workbench/toolbox/hammer: E47, E44, E43 Woodgrain/project: E23, E21 Floor: W3, W0 I wanted to incorporate a woodsy piece, so I used the Tim Holtz 3D Lumber embossing folder - I think it is SO cool! Gives such great dimension. I first lightly and a little splotchy inked up a panel with Ground espresso Oxide ink. I then applied the same ink to the embossing folder on the veiny side. Before running it through I spritzed with water to not break the cardstock, but I did it on the backside, to not ruin the coloration. I covered the base with patterned paper from Studio light. OSH Christmas cards #2 - Operation skriv hjem

Billede
Hello everyone! I've got some more operation write home cards for you today. For these I've used new stamps from Threescoops. In Denmark, well I guess in all of Scandinavia, we decorate with marcipan pigs and straw Yule goats. I'm not sure if those of you outside Scandinavia knows of these, but for me they hold so many childhood memories. I just had to have this set! A few years ago I bought a pretty big straw goat. He's out every Christmas. I love it! I stamped the goat and the sentiment from Hobbyboden with Gina K amalgam ink and let dry. I then ink smooshed them with Fossilized amber Oxide ink and then let them dry again. Sentiment means Wishing you a peaceful Christmas. I'm not a marcipan fan, but this is still so Christmassy!  On these I used Spun sugar Oxide ink. Sentiment from Dixi Craft means something along the lines of Christmas candy and sweets. Once they were all completely dry I colored the ribbons and bows with Copics using R39, R29, R

OSH Christmas cards #1 - Operation skriv hjem

Billede
Hello everyone! Today is a little different. I'm sharing not 1 but a couple of cards made for the Danish OSH - operation write home. I made some last year, and promissed myself to do birthday cards as well. I guess life got in the way of that, but it's a project that I really like to support, and Christmas time must be when they miss their loved ones the most. So I'm trying to rectify the lack of birthday cards by creating lots of Christmas cards. I made enough for a whole series of blog posts and I'll divide them according to design. The cards for OSH have a few requirements. One layer is best and there absolutely cannot be any glitter. At all! See how that doesn't really go with my style, LOL! So I kept them pretty simple using presents from Pretty Pink Posh Reindeer friends, and creating a focus. I'm using My favorite things Polar bear friends and sentiments are from Hobbyboden. For the blue card I used Altenew Dusk ink and Copics: C3, C1, C00, B29

Hello everyone! Today starts a new challenge over at the  AAA Birthday Challenge blog ! This month it's a color challenge. Use at least 2 of the colors shown. I decided to challenge myself to use all 5 colors and why not let the base be black?! On a panel of black cardstock I tamped the Concord 9th Wreath Turnabout with Hero Arts Unicorn white ink and let that dry. Then I stamped with Fossilized amber, Spiced Marmelade, Barn door and Mowed lawn Distress oxide inks. I stamped twice for deeper colors. I stamped a Danish "Congrats on your big day" sentiment from Simple and Basic with WOW! embossing ink and heat embossed with WOW! Opaque white embossing powder. Don't forget to hop on over to the  blog  to check out the amazing designs from our guest designer and the other team members! Thanks for stopping by, and happy crafting! Guest designer for A place to start

Hello everyone! The lovely Chana from  A place to start challenge blog  kindly asked me to guest design for them, and I'm honored and delighted to do so! The October challenge is such a fun one! Now there's a challenge that's bound to unleash your creative spark! A few weeks ago we went to the christening of our friends baby girl. I had most of the card planned in my head, and it was perfect for this challenge! So many cute images to choose from, but I went with the Whimsy stamps digital image "Baby Ellie".  So adorable holding the trunk of Mama elephant. I printed it on Neenah cardstock, colored it with Copics and die cut it with a My favorite things Dotted circle stax die. Copics used: Ellie: W5, W3, W1, W0, RV21, RV00 Bow: RV25, RV21, RV00 - After it dried I added BV000 Other: RV21, RV00, C1 For the card itself I used the Dutch Doobadoo Card art Baby onesie. Birthday card for my niece

Billede
Hello everyone! Thursday was not only my Dad's birthday, but also my little niece's first birthday. I can't believe she's 1 already! She's in such a hurry - walking at 9 months, throwing things, climbing onto things in order to reach, eating hardy meals, etc. We've all celebrated her (and her daddy) today, and I told Mommy (my sis) that I expected my niece to have her own cake. Well, here's one at least, lol! On Neenah cardstock I printed The Paper Shelter You're my cuppycake, colored it with Copics and die cut with a Nellie Snellen Straight dotted oval die. I wanted the hair color close to reality (yes, she's hot tempered, ha!), but man was it difficult matching girly colors with that color hair! Copics used: Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000, R20 Lips: RV14, RV13, R20 Hair: YR21, YR23, YR27, E37 Skirt + buttercream: R85, R83, R81, RV11 Blouse: BV17, BV13, BV02, BV00 Chocolate cake: E49, E59, E25, E23 Vanilla cake: E25, E34, E31
