Handmade Paper Hugs

Hey everyone! Have you started on your Christmas cards? Or maybe even finished?  I've only just started mine 🙈😂 Anyway, here's an old Make it Crafty digital stamp that I printed in a softer grey tone. Not 100% noline, but noline-ish. I actually really struggled with this when I started. I don't do much noline coloring, so I really need to think hard about it. After coloring in blues and pinks I thought about starting over, but decided to trust the process. And I'm glad I did. Once I colored skin and hair I suddenly was very happy with my coloring. So, trust the process, guys! I kept it simpel with just adding a sentiment (Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Katrina's Christmas kiss) and let's not talk about it being crooked 🙈 that's the downside of rubber stamps, right?! I considered stamping again and cutting it out to cover this, but I wanted the card to be one layer, so... 🤷‍♀️ Anyway, thanks for stopping by. And stay tuned for some exiting news!  Happy Christ...

 A very girly card, and my first side-step card. I struggled a bit with the layout, but I'm really happy with the result.  The girl is from Make it Crafty, which has sadly closed.  All make-up, ring/diamonds and shoes are from Three Scoops Nail polish and perfumes are from NHH Small text sentiment from Gavlhuset Brush Tillykke die from Gitte's eget design 18 numbers from Mama Elephant  Numbers and die cut word cut from Nuvo mirror card.  The "paper" is ink smooshed paper using Victorian velvet and Spun sugar Distress inks.

 Yep! You guessed it, it's my daughter's birthday card. This year is her 10th and I can't believe how fast things are going with her. Where did time go? I usually ask her what she wants for her birthday card. But this year I decided. You see, she just started riding classes and she's so excited, so I colored up this full panel with Copic markers.  It's a mash of digital stamps from Make it Crafty (background) and Some odd girl (girl with horse). I even colored the horse to match the first horse she rode, AND she recognized it immediately which made me so happy.  Hobbyboden Gitte's eget design Brush tillykke (congrats) die cut from Nuvo mirror card. A bit of string and popped up.

At the same time it's bittersweet, because every time I color one of Zoe's stamps I regret not buying all of them 😔 I'm thinking of keeping this one.   Hey everyone! Here's a fun, cute birthday card using a Make it Crafty digital stamp. I had this with me on vacation and decided to only use my newly bought Copics. Man that seems soooooo long ago! And it was, it was just before the first Coxxd-lockdown 😲 I ink blended the background with Seedless Preserves oxide ink and then inked through a Create a Smile stencil. Sentiment from Mama Elephant.   Hi guys! I don't typically create cards like this one, but I love the look so I'll try to do a couple of them. For this card I used a Make it Crafty digital stamp. I backed it with patterned paper from an old Reverse Confetti pad and added a bit of thin twine. I didn't want to take away from the beautiful soft look, so I left the congrats cut (My favorite things) white. I absolutely adore this soft blue, how 'bout you? (see what I did there?) "Funny" story with the hair. I colored all of the hair, except for one small portion at the front, and then left it until the next day. Bad idea! It came out darker and I didn't want to darken the rest, so you can actually tell which portion it is. oh, well....   Hey everyone! I'm sure we all have a special friend that we really want to impress when sending them a card. Someone who understands the work that went into making it. This card was made for such a friend.  Actually I've wanted to make a card like this forever, and now I finally had an excuse. I combined / layered 5 different digital stamps from Make it Crafty. I spent a long time and several tries to place the girls so that both hat and gift would show, and at the same time hiding a phone. I also had to add legs on the girl in the middle. She is actually sitting in the original stamp. And would you believe the girl in the pink top (blonde hair) is originally wearing a bikini and holding a beach ball? This is why I love digital stamps! And I'm really happy with how it turned out.   Hello everyone! Just a quick post from me today. Like I said, I don't celebrate Valentine's but I do celebrate love. And I just really love this image.  It's another Make it Crafty digital stamp, colored with Copics, fuzzy cut and popped up on some (really old) patterned paper. While coloring the background with Copics have terrified me for ages, I'm loving the results I get. What do you think?
