MFT color and birthday challenge

Billede
Hello everyone! So, schools have actually started opening here in Denmark. To say that I'm worried about the consequences would be putting it mildly. So we're keeping our daughter at home for now. But, on a more sheerful note, I've played with another My favorite things classic and created it according to both the color challenge and the birthday challenge. I colored a couple of images from the Magical dragons set. Then used the second largest Linked chain circle die to cut a frame. The center of the circle I ink blended with Tattered rose Distress oxide ink. Then blended the same ink through the Newton's Nook Cloudy sky stencil. The frame itself I covered in WOW! Mermaid tails embossing glitter - so gorgeous! Copics used: B99, B97, B95, B93, B91 R22, R20, R11 W3, W1, W0 C5, C3, C1, C00  Then I placed the circle, frame and images and stamped a few sentiments with Faded jeans Distress ink. Sentiments are from Magical dragons and Adorable elephants. I

MFT color and sketch challenge

Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed Easter in spite of everything going on. Our Easter break has ended and I'm sharing a card I made for the My favorite things sketch challenge. And while I was at it, I colored it according to the current color challenge. I started by ink smooshing the background with Mermaid lagoon, Blueprint sketch and Chipped sapphire Distress inks. I chose a sentiment from the MFT Written in the stars and heat embossed with a homemade powder - black and WOW! silver sparkle. I then colored one of the astronauts from Space explorer and fuzzy cut him out. Copics used: E04, E11, E00, E000 E41, E42, E43, E44 C5, C3, C00 B99, B97, B95, B93, B91 R46 From white cardstock I cut the largest MFT Pierced star, and the Stars word (including stars) twice. I placed the star and the astronaut on top. I added glossy accents to his face. Then I colored one of the word die cuts with R46 and layered them offset. After placing the word and small stars I

A rainbow of Dahlias

Billede
Hello everyone! I'm still playing with the new Alex Syberia digital stamps release. Today, another favorite flower of mine. The Dahlia. For this card I used the Dahilas slim card design and covered up the right side of the design to be able to add the Dahila cherish. This gave me 2 large flowers. I ink blended Shaded lilac, Worn lipstick, Mustard seed and Peacock feathers Distress inks, making sure to overlap for a full rainbow look. I was gonna leave at that, but... Well, I am a colorist, so I decided to add shading. Copics used: BV13, BV02, BV01 RV95, RV93, RV91 RV25, RV23, RV21, RV10 R22, R20 YR02, YR21 Y08, Y02 YG06, YG01 BG15, BG13, BG11 I added the panel to a black base, stamped a sentiment (Technique Tuesday - Just us girls) and added dots of clear Nuvo drops. I hope I've inspired you, and encourage you to check out the full release at Alex'  Etsy shop . I promise, you won't be disappointed! Thank you so much for s

Alex Syberia - spring is here

Billede
Hello everyone! Happy Easter!  I'm back with more inspiration from the gorgeous new Alex Syberia digital stamps release.  For this card I used the Abstract flower digital stamp. I printed on Neenah and then die cut a large panel and a smaller panel from that using Simple and basic Double pierced rectangle dies.  I then colored with copics. I was only planning to color the small cut out part of the image, but when that was done I just felt the rest of the image needed a little depth. So I added shading to that as well. Copics used: YR09, YR68, YR16, Y38 + YR23, YR27, Y08 G28, G17, G14 B0000 W3, W1, colorless blender I colored the edge of the base with YR16 copic marker and placed the panels, the small one I popped up for dimension. The sentiment is from Poppystamps Springtime fun. The final touch was added Memory Box fairy sugar in Lemon drop (glitter glue) to the center of the flower and Nuvo jewel drops in Orange marmelade here and there. I hop

Alex Syberia new release

Billede
Hello everyone! The new Alex Syberia digital stamps release is now available in her  Etsy shop  and I am very honored that she chose me to play with and color her gorgeous designs. My first card features the Lily stamp. I printed it on Neenah and copic colored according to my favorite lily. Bold, yet subtle, and so wonderfully fragrant. I can almost smell it. Copics used: RV25, RV23, RV21, RV10 YG13, YG11, YG06, YG03, YG01 E09, YR68 G28, G17, G14, YG11 I cut the panel with a My favorite things Wonky stichted rectangle die and fuzzy cut the top off. For base I chose a dark grey cardstock. I stamped the My favorite things Bold diagonal stripes with embossing ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts silver embossing powder. I cut the Hero Arts Hello stamp and cut die from white cardstock and colored it with copics using the same pinks as for the lily. I stamped a couple of sentiments from that set and added stickles to the hello and lily. 'Cause you gotta have a
