Husband's 50th birthday card

Billede
Hey everyone! Today is my husband's 50th birthday and I made him this special sidestep card. It holds not everything but a lot of what he is and loves. I actually had to leave things out because it wouldn't fit.  He works as a technician, always has, and he has a special thing for... Screw drivers. Apparently.  It's a standing joke that he doesn't have any and should put it on his wishlist. When in reality he has soooooo many 🙈 So as a joke I "hid" a bunch in the card. My daughter couldn't find all of them. Can you? Scroll to find answer.  Products used: * Avery Elle, Fly-by - My husband constantly checks travel ideas for our next adventure  * My Facorite Things, Hot cocoa cups - He LOVES! coffee, grinds his beans himself  * Three Scoops, Surprise pakke 11 - Vaca! Usually travel includes sun, snorkelling and whale watching * Sugar Pea Designs, Grill Master - He's an avid BBQ-chef and likes to make use of it all year round regardless of rain and snow *...

Bookmarks for everyone!

Billede
Hi everyone! Today is my daughter's first day back at school after 6 weeks of summer break. I've wanted to create bookmarks for her whole class since she started 2 years ago, but - well, life happens. BUT! Now they're finally done, I'm happy with them and I know they probably wont all like them, and that's OK! 23 bookmarks in total, 4 different designs using many of my favorite stamps. Mainly because I would go bananas if I were to color the same images 23 times. I also stayed true to my new-found love for coloring edge to edge. The names of her class mates are already stamped on the back of them, so here's hoping my daughter picked the right designs for each of them. For all bookmarks I used: My favorite things - Scallop cross-stitch bookmark (2 per bookmark for sturdiness and to hide bleeding) Three Scoops - Eventyret begynder her (sentiment meaning "the adventure/fairytale begins here") Mama Elephant - Bookworm Copic markers Ribbon & twine The...

Shadow box cards

Billede
Hello everyone! I've been thinking about how I could make some kind of interactive cards for the Danish Operation write home. I figured that Shadow box cards would be the perfect solution because they fold to a standard card size yet pop up for a little fun. I absolutely love how these came out but they do use more cardstock. Maybe I'll try and change the size to accomodate more of these. For each card I used 2 pieces of cardstock sized 10,5 x 19 cm (finished card size is A6 - similar to US A2) and scored 1 and 2 cm from both ends. Fold them in different directions and when put together you have a very easy shadow box card. Follow instructions  here . I cut an oval from one panel and a smaller size from colored cardstock. I adhered the colored panel inside the white for sturdiness. After all they will go around the world, possibly twice. I didn't think to add the sentiment before adding the colored panel, but I did stamp it before putting the front and back panels togethe...

A Fly By - destination OSH

Billede
Hello everyone! Do you sometimes overthink your projects? I know I do 🙈 I'm sure if I was making cards instead of thinking I'd create 3 times more cards in the same amount of time. Oh well... Today I'm sharing another set of cards for the Danish operation write home - OSH. I used Avery Alle Fly By stamps and coordinating dies. It's an older set but it was given to me a while ago and I thought it was perfect for OSH cards. Actually I stamped and colored these cute images more than a year ago. Can you believe it. With the pandemic I find I can color but actually making cards, not so much 😩 I have been die cutting them while my daughter did her online homeschooling. It took FOREVER! Can you tell I'm not used to coordinating dies 😂 The backgrounds were easily done with a bit of ink smooshing using Tumbled glass distress re-inker and a little bit of Salty ocean. Copics used: R39, R29, R24 + W7, W5, W3 + R24, R22, R20, R00 B39, B37, B24, B21 + B97, B95, B91 + B23, B2...

Birthday card for a unicorn loving fairy

Billede
Hello everyone! A few days ago a dear crafty friend of mine celebrated her birthday. I should have had this ready but I sent it rather late and didn't think it would arrive in time. However luck would have it she actually received it on her birthday. YAY! I knew the card had to have 3 things. 1 - A unicorn, and preferably a fairy as well, so when I saw this image at Lemonshortbread on Etsy I knew it was exactly right! 2 - Primary colors because she loves the yellow, blue, pink combo 3 - Glitter because.... Glitter! I colored with Copics and added Ranger stickles and Memory Box Fairy sugar in various places. Copics used: Skin: V12, E31, E21, E00 Hair: V12, C5, C7, 100 Yellow: YR23, Y08, Y06, Y02, Y000 Blue: B26, B24, B21, B02, B00, B0000 Pink: RV17, RV66, RV55, RV52, RV10, RV0000 The large sentiment is from Avery Elle Be a unicorn and this one is from Gummiapan, a Swedish company. When I saw it I emediately thought of my friend. Dearest Enna, Happy birthday! I'm so happy you l...

AAA Birthday game #12 Dots and/or Stripes

Billede
Hello everyone! It's a crazy world right now and keeping track of the days can be a challenge. But we've jumped into April and today we're starting a new challenge over at  AAA Birthday blog . I hope you're enjoying time with loved ones, staying safe and that you'll have fun creating a card for our theme this month - Dots and/or stripes.  For this trio of cards I've used The Greeting Farm Magical friends, colored with Copics. V15, V12, V000 B39, BV08, BV04, BV02 For the backgrounds I used a new-to-me stencil that I was given by a crafty friend. It's from Hedgehog Hollow and almost psychedelic, don't you think? Anyway, I thought it fit the theme perfectly since it obviously has dots and, although their in half circles, also stripes. Here I blended Wilted violet and Chipped sapphire Distress inks. I also cut 2 cloud pieces with Poppystamps Stitched Cloudline, one from vellum and one from white cardstock. The sentiment is Avery Elle. I...
