Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing one of those hard-to-do cards with a lot of feeling. We have the best vet! No doubt about it. I can text his mobile and he will answer when he has a miniute - after hours, weekend, even during his summer holiday. He just proved that this summer, with everything going on with Aslan, our dog that we sent across the rainbow bridge. We are so thankful for his help, so I made him this card. I wanted to do it sooner, but it was hard enough now. I broke down a couple of times during. I managed to really get it to look like him. When I showed it to my daughter she exclaimed 'Aslan!'. So yeah, tough one! I printed the Mo's digital pencil image "Nana" on Neenah cardstock. I'm guessing she's supposed to be the big nanny dog from Peter Pan, but she could go for a bernese mountain dog as well. I colored it with my Copics and cut it out with a My favorite things Wonky stitched rectangle die. Copics used: Aslan: C5,C7

MFT Superstar Clean and Simple Genius

Billede
Hello everyone! Anyone who knows me know I don't often make cas cards. And I didn't completely stick to the definition #sorrynotsorry But this is my entry to the My favorite things Superstar Clean and Simple Genius contest. I recently re-viewed a Jennifer McGuire video with this partially cut card front. So I stamped a My favorite things Space explorer astronaut in the lower right corner and colored it with Copics. I then used a medium sized plate to line out the moon, cut along the line and around the lower part of the astronaut with my scissors. And although it means the white isn't completely white, I decided to add a couple of moon craters, also colored with Copics. Face and stars I gave a coat of glossy accents. Copics used: B97, B95, B91 R39, R29, R35 Y17, Y08, Y02 C3, C1, C00 E04, E11, E00, E000 E31, E35, E37 G05, YG06, YG03 On the inside of the card I masked off where the moon would be and the ink blended a galaxy using Abandoned coral

Stamping Bella / Bling it on!

Billede
Hello everyone! This week Simon says stamp Wednesday challenge says Bling it on and asks to feature Stamping Bella. Well recently I have found a new love. Stamping Bella. And by now you know I love anything sparkly. So I had to join this one! I stamped the image, colored with Copics and fuzzy cut the image. Copics used: Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000 Hair: E23, E25, E59 Dress + shoes + poppy: R29, R24, R22 Leaves: G28, G07 Hat: C3, C00 Apron: C3, C1, V17, V15, V12 Utensils: C3, C7, R20, R000 Rolling pin: E50, E21, E31, E23 Tray: C5, C1 Cake: YR27, YR23, Y21 Icing: R24, R22, R11 Cherry: RV69, RV29 For the background I inked a panel with Worn lipstick, Abandoned coral, Candied apple and Dusty concord oxide inks. I spritzed a few times with water and dried off the excess with a paper towel. After it dried I used the Newton's Nook Tumbling hearts stencil with Nuvo Plum spinel glimmer paste. How's that for bling?! I offset the stencil a

Let's drink to that!

Hello everyone! Today I played with the Altenew Cube builder stencil, and since we are now well into autumn weather and getting closer to Halloween I thought I'd use those warm fun colors. They work for masculine cards, right?! So I used Spiced marmelade, Seedless preserves and Twisted citron Oxide inks. I then added Ranger Opaque white texture paste through some of the Whimsy Formal lattice stencil. I left it to dry, but then realized that even though I had heat set the oxides trying to prevent "bleeding" into the texture paste, the color still seeped. And because I wanted a white opaque look I added WOW! opaque white embossing powder. The texture paste wasn't completely dry, so I managed to get sort of a white look. I stamped and Copic colored a couple of images from the danish Three Scoops Øl skal der til stamp set and then fuzzy cut the images. I added white gelly roll pen details, Wink of stella and some liquid applique, which puffs up when hea

MFT sketch challenge

Billede
Hello everyone! I wanted to create a card for the new My favorite things sketch challenge and thought it was about time for me to start my Christmas card collection. As always I tried to incorporate other challenges - the MFT color challenge (again), masking, sparkle and texture. I cut a panel of Neenah cardstock to about 4,5x4,25 inches. I stamped a bear from the MFT Polar bear pals and colored it with copics. I also stamped the image on a Post-it and fuzzy cut it to mask the bear. From another Post-it I cut with a Nellie Snellen Multi frame circle die. I placed it centering the bear. I masked the rest of my panel as well and ink blended over the bear using Tumbled glass, Salty ocean and Chipped sapphire Distress inks. I diluted a drop of white acrylic paint with a bit of water and splattered it over the Distress ink. Copics used: B39, B69, B29, BG09, BG07, BG57, BG53 W3, W1, W0 C5, C3, C1 After it dried I removed the masks and replaced with the ne

Guest designer for Digi Doodle Studios

Billede
Hi everyone! Today I'm guest designing for  Digi Doodle Studios .  I used the adorable  For the love of Dawn  digi.  I printed the image on Neenah cardstock and colored it with my Copics. I then used the largest Spellbinders Labels 23 die to die cut the image. I also used a white gelly roll pen and a Wink of stella clear sparkle pen for highlights. I used the largest MFT Wonky stitched rectangle die to cut the pink cloudy patterned paper from Gummiapan. I popped up the image with craft foam and offset it. I then die cut the My favorite things Friends die-namics and the heart from the MFT Paw prints. I ink blended them with Picked Raspberry Distress ink, and then came in with Black soot Distress ink for an ombre look. I popped them up, ran over them with Wink of stella clear sparkle and Nuvo glaze for a glossy look.  Finally I added a sentiment from the Newton's Nook Woof pack. I white heat embossed it on black cardstock using

Autumn colors

Billede
Hello everyone, and welcome! Autumn is upon us and I see several challenges on the subject. I for one am not liking the colder weather, but the warm colors of autumn I love! I stamped the Stamping Bella Curvy girls Besties on Neenah cardstock, colored it with Copics and fuzzycut it out. Of course there had to be sparkle, so I added Wink of Stella clear sparkle pen. Copics used: Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000, R32 / E34, E31, E21, E50, R22 Hair: E42, E43, E44, E47 / R32, C5, C7, 100 Dress: V09, V17, V15, V12 / YR09, YR04, Y38, YR21 Poppies + shoes: R29, R24, R22 Roses: YR04, Y38, Y21 Leaves: G05, YG03, YG01 Shoes: C5, C7, 100 For the background I played with ink smooshing a bunch of Distress inks on watercolor paper - Squeezed lemonade, Mustard seed, Wild honey, Spiced marmelade, Twisted citron and Moved lawn. I then placed the Simon says stamps Flok dance stencil over the panel and as best as possible used a darker color Distress ink over the res

AAA Birthday game #5

Billede
Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday! This is  game #5 the theme is 'stencil'. I absolutely LOVE! stencils! You can do so many techniques with them for simple and suttle or fully loaded texture. For this card I chose my most favorite technique - a thick coat of texture paste covered with embossing powder. I'm in love with the raised, yet intricate pattern dressed in glitter! I started by inkblending an ombre layer of Victorian velvet Oxide ink. Then i placed the Simon says stamp Star medallion over and smeared on a thick coat of Ranger texture paste. When removing the stencil there's enough time to wash it before covering the panel in embossing powder. I used WOW! Turkish nights - one of my favorites. For this look it's important that you let the texture paste dry before heat setting the embossing powder. Just look at that texture! For the sentiment I die cut the Simple and Basic Tillykke (congrat

Coffee always helps

Billede
Hello everyone, My first batch of the new Stamping Bella stamps took a while to arrive and I've been too busy to color them, but I finally found some time. This Curvy girl Loves coffee was first on my to-do list. I stamped on Neenah cardstock and colored with Copics, then fuzzycut the image. I added white gelly roll pen details, Spectrum noir clear sparkle and I also gave her a mouth. I'm not entirely sure I like it, but where else is she going to pour that coffee 😁 Copics used: Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000, R32, RV25  Hair: E25, E23, E21 Outfit: BG49, BG45, BG01, RV14, RV13, RV21 Clock: C5, C3, C1, RV29, RV25, RV23 Mug: E47, E44, E43, E42, C3 For the background I started by ink smooshing Worn lipstick and Vintage photo Distress inks. I chose regular Distress for a deeper color and I wanted the brown, because...coffee. But then I didn't like the yellow look of the diluted Vintage photo, so instead I added Ground espresso Oxide ink, whi
