Alex Syberia Designs February release Instagram hop

Billede
Hey everyone! Today I'm guest designing for the Alex Syberia Designs February release Instagram hop.  **Add**  For this card I used the Tiny Flowers cover die, the Giraffe-ic Friends stamp set and coordinating die set and the Love & Hugs die set. There's a Danish childrens song about a giraffe that meets a rhino who wants to dance. His long neck means he can't dance, so he gets sad. Until he meets a girl giraffe who'd rather entwine their necks 💕 This was my inspiration for this card. I stamped the giraffes in brown ink to make the spots brown and then used light brown Copic markers to color them. I stamped and die cut 8 of the flowers in the set, colored them with Copic markers and placed them to make a heart. The bushes are inkblended using Mowed lawn and Rustic Wilderness Oxide inks and I colored the tiny hearts in with a Posca marker. The Love word and shadow are cut from 2 shades of pink cardstock, and I then added a bit of Stickles to make it sparkle. I did...

Fun with Alex Syberia digital stamps

Billede
Hi everyone! It's been a while. Life happened. Let's just leave it at that. Things are not great, but I'm trying to get back to posting regularly. If you're not following me on Instagram, this might the time to do so, since I won't be posting all my projects here. You can find my IG here . Anyway, while I was temporarily doing inner maintenance, you may have unsuccesfully tried to purchase digital stamps at the Alex Syberia shop on Etsy. That is because she moved her shop to a new website - you can check that out here . For the first card I used Be Girly digital stamp . I just lov this one! As always I colored with my Copic markers, and I was going for a really glossy look. Markers used: RV69, RV66, RV55, RV52 E35, E34, E33, E31, E30 I printed the image twice and cut the 2 bows out of one of them. I colored them with the lightest pink marker and then added a mix of a pink translucent embossing powder (from Michael's) and a WOW embossing sparkles. I only glued ...

Twist & pop 50th birthday card

Billede
Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a custom made 50th birthday card. I didn't have much to go on, except "stripes" and my friend who ordered it likes "surprise" in cards. So I wanted to make a fun pop-up card. I stenciled the background (Birch Press stencil) for the stripes part and stamped a sentiment (The Cat's Pajamas). The beautiful peony arrangement is from Simon Says Stamp (Strangeness). Copics used: Y28, Y17, Y13 R89, R85, R83, R81 V09, BV17, BV13, BV01 BG78, G43, G40 On the inside I made a fun twist and pop feature (no dies) and I cut the letters TILLYKKE (which means congrats) with Altenew Bold alpha dies and since I thought it looked a bit too white I used a fine liner to add lines and flowers. Thank you for stopping by! Stay safe, and happy crafting! Tina

Magical Flower - a multi-layered card

Billede
Hey everyone, I'm up on the Alex Syberia blog today with this multi-layered card cut from SVG-files - SQUEAL!! I'm a happy little camper these days, because for Christmas I finally got a Silhouette Cameo. I have wanted one for eons and I would totally be lying if I didn't blame Alex for making me want one even more. This also means I haven't been coloring for a while, because I'm getting to know my new friend. Bare with me while I figure everything out 🙏 For this card I used the Magical Flower cut file. I cut all layers from white cardstock and colored them with copic markers - you can find the colors on Alex's blog . Thanks for stopping by. Be safe and happy crafting. Tina

Alex Syberia Design August release is now live!

Billede
Hello everyone! The August release from Alex Syberia Design is now live! As always the designs are gorgeous and for you cut file lovers there are more news too. So check out the new release on Etsy .  For my first card I used the Lotus stamp. I really love this design and I thought it would pop off a black background. So I Copic colored the image, fuzzy cut it and used a black Memento pen around the edges. I gold heat embossed a sentiment from The Stamp Market - One of a kind, and splattered on some diluted acrylic gold paint. Copics used: RV09, RV06, RV04, RV02 Y08, Y06 YG13, YG11, G43 For my second card I used the Gardenia Duo and the Caleidoscope card panel for background. The background has a beautiful pattern and I thought it would work well for a little interest to the background. And the gardenias are just gorgeous! As always I copic colored the flowers, and all I had to do was add a sentiment (My favorite things - Happy hedgehogs) and a few Nuvo drops. Copics used: R...

AAA birthday blog game #28 - Photo inspiration

Billede
Hello everyone! Today we're kicking off a new challenge over AAA Birthday blog and the theme is Photo inspiration. Doesn't that photo just scream summer birthday in the garden?  Varada Sharma has kindly sponsored stamps for the design team this month and you can win a $10 gift card to her Etsy shop by entering your card over on the AAA Birthday challenge blog. For my card I used the Varada Sharma Freesia portrait. Simple cards are hard for me, but this beautiful design was just screaming simple to me. I printed it to fit a regular card size and then copic colored it. Copics used: BV04, BV17, BV02, BV000 G05, YG06, YG01 I cut it down and then cut another panel slightly wider. On the second panel I colored the edges using my BV02 marker. I cut out a Tillykke (congrats) word using Gitte's eget design Brush Tillykke and then colored it with the same green markers. After adhering it to the card I added glitter from a Spectrum noir clear glitter marker. To that I added a layer o...

Alex Syberia July release is now LIVE!

Billede
*reklame* Hello everyone! The Alex Syberia Design July release is now live and you are going to LOVE this release! You can find all the new stamps in Alex's Etsy shop here - but first, let me introduce you to "my" garden. See, I was looking for a stamp with coneflowers and I couldn't really find any (that I liked at least). So I asked Alex if she would consider making a stamp. This is it! It's simply called Tina's garden and I LOVE it!! I hope you do too. You're welcome, lol 😉 I wanted the stamp to be the star of this card, so I printed and Copic colored it. Although the ones in my garden are deep pink, I chose a couple of warm colors and gave it a warm sunset feel. I love the cozy quiet feel I get in my garden on summer nights - how about you? Copics used: RV66, RV55, RV52 YR09, YR04, YR02 R22, Y35, Y21 E97, E99, R39 Y38, Y35, Y11, Y000 + G40, G24, G94, G99 I added a sentiment from Clearly Besotted and a couple of water droplet gems. Stay tuned for mor...

I Copic colored them using these markers: RV25, RV13, RV10 G05, G02, YG11 E30, E31, E33, E34, E35 W3, W1, W0 I used an oval frame from Nellie Snellen to cut an opening in my cardbase and adhered the fuzzy cut flower borders at the edge. On the inside of the card I ink blended a bit of Tumbled glass and Mermaid lago...
