Winter scene Christmas card

Billede
Hey everyone, I'm sharing a cute winter-scene today. I had colored up a bunch of Christmas stamps and then made a bunch of color burst bakgrounds to go with them. Remember to lightly spritz your watercolor paper on both sides, it won't stop warping completely but it will help so the paper doesn't just curls back on itself. And, although you can dry them with your heat tool I honestly prefer to let them air dry. In my opinion it makes a difference although techniccaly it shouldn't. This is one of my favorite stamps for winter/Christmas and I went with soft red tones. Copics used: E04, E11, E21, E00 + R32 R24, R22, R20 E55, E53, E51 E44, E43, E42 C3, C00 YR09, YR04 Products used: My favorite things - Winter buddies My favorite things - Friends in the forest My favorite things - Let it snowflake too Nellie Snellen - Snow flakes Silver glitter cardstock Oxide ink - Abandoned coral / Candied apple Lindy's magical shaker Cuckoo Clock Cardinal Thanks so much for stopping...

18th Birthday masculine card

Billede
Hello everyone! I'm sharing a custom made card for a young man celebrating his 18th birthday. Key words: hot babe. In Denmark we are generally more tolerant with this kind of thing. It's often joked with and not looked down upon. I figured he'd probably be into card as well, so I stamped and black heat embossed the cars from Honey Bee stamps Car show onto watercolor paper. Then I used a clear embossing paste through a new Gummiapan stencil No.3. I really like that one. Next I applied Tumbled glass and Faded jeans Distress ink re-inker directly to the top of the paper and sprayed liberally with my Distress water spray. I dried it in between layers and repeated the process with the bottom of the card. I also sprayed with Speckled egg and Spiced marmelade Oxide sprays. The hot babe is a Kenny K digital stamp. Sorry to get your hopes up, because they sadly closed years ago. As always I colored with Copics: Skin: E15, E13, E21, E11, E00 + R32 Eyes: B24 Lips: R22, R29 Hair: E51...

Birthday card for a unicorn loving fairy

Billede
Hello everyone! A few days ago a dear crafty friend of mine celebrated her birthday. I should have had this ready but I sent it rather late and didn't think it would arrive in time. However luck would have it she actually received it on her birthday. YAY! I knew the card had to have 3 things. 1 - A unicorn, and preferably a fairy as well, so when I saw this image at Lemonshortbread on Etsy I knew it was exactly right! 2 - Primary colors because she loves the yellow, blue, pink combo 3 - Glitter because.... Glitter! I colored with Copics and added Ranger stickles and Memory Box Fairy sugar in various places. Copics used: Skin: V12, E31, E21, E00 Hair: V12, C5, C7, 100 Yellow: YR23, Y08, Y06, Y02, Y000 Blue: B26, B24, B21, B02, B00, B0000 Pink: RV17, RV66, RV55, RV52, RV10, RV0000 The large sentiment is from Avery Elle Be a unicorn and this one is from Gummiapan, a Swedish company. Mother's day

Billede
Hello everyone! And happy Friday! I hope you are all well. Mother's day was this Sunday here in Denmark, but since I want to give it to my Mom in person, she hasn't received it yet, and it probably will be a bit still. But I thought I'd take the risk and share. This was really easy to make since I'd already stamped the flowers last time I used this set. A great way to be upfront and ready to make a quick card. I stenciled the background using Classy stripes stencil. All inks are Altenew. I only used 4 flowers for this card, 2 pink, 2 orange. I placed them around the card to make sure they reached all the way around. I then adhered them next to each other, cut off the overhanging part and used thosed bits to cover the rest of the edge. I finished them off with Nuvo jewel drops. The letter cuts (meaning mom) are Altenew Bold alpha that I FINALLY got and used. I cut a few layers from white cardstock and topped with a gold/brass glitter paper from Michael stores. Ex...

Guest designer for Digi Doodle Studios

Billede
Hi everyone! Today I'm guest designing for  Digi Doodle Studios .  I used the adorable  For the love of Dawn  digi.  I printed the image on Neenah cardstock and colored it with my Copics. I then used the largest Spellbinders Labels 23 die to die cut the image. I also used a white gelly roll pen and a Wink of stella clear sparkle pen for highlights. I used the largest MFT Wonky stitched rectangle die to cut the pink cloudy patterned paper from Gummiapan. I popped up the image with craft foam and offset it. I then die cut the My favorite things Friends die-namics and the heart from the MFT Paw prints. I ink blended them with Picked Raspberry Distress ink, and then came in with Black soot Distress ink for an ombre look. I popped them up, ran over them with Wink of stella clear sparkle and Nuvo glaze for a glossy look.  Finally I added a sentiment from the Newton's Nook Woof pack. I white heat embossed it on ...

Birthday card for my princess

Billede
Hi everyone, Today is my big girl's 6th birthday. She had her first day of school ever this last Monday. I can't belive how big and independent she is already. For her birthday card she asked for a unicorn. So the search was on for a perfect unicorn to fit on an infinity shaker card. I chose the Whimsy Stamps Mystic. That big curly mane spoke to me. Although rainbow would've been the obvious color choice - 'cause unicorn and it's my daughter's favorite - I chose another favorite of hers, purple. Mostly because I don't have rainbow sequins lol. I stamped on Neenah cardstock, colored with Copics and fuzzy cut it out. Who would've thought Copic V's and BV's work so well together! The horse anatomy is not too well known for me, although I do love horses. But I took inspiration from the shading on the packing for the stamp. And of course I had to shimmer it up with my Spectrum noir Clear sparkle pen. To create the panel for t...

Happy Mother's day

Billede
This card was put together quite fast since I already  had the alcohol ink background laying around.  I always make a bunch when i  pull out my alcohol inks.  This one has a little gold foil. I started by cutting the alcohol ink panel with a  Create a Smile stamps scalloped rectangle die. I die cut the Simon Says Stamp flower cluster 10 times and layered 5 on top of each other. Top layer is covered in Hero Arts Gold embossing powder.  I then placed them in an oval on the panel. For sentiment I used a Create a Smile stamps "Du" die and a Gummiapan stamp. Sentiment means You are wonderful. For finishing touches I embellished with a few drops  Morning Dew Nuvo glitter drops. With lots of dimension this card qualifies for the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge Dimension, as well as their Wednesday challenge For a special lady. Enjoy your Sunday and don't forget to make a mother feel special today. ...
