AAA Birthday Challenge #34 - Pattern

Billede
Hey everyone! Today we're kicking off the February challenge at AAA Birthday challenge blog and the theme is - Pattern. For my pattern I cut the Alex Syberia Summer Leaves cut file on my (brand new - YAY!) Silhouette Cameo from white cardstock. I backed that with a panel heat embossed with WOW! Lime Ricky embossing glitter. Then I stamped and Copic colored an image from My Favorite Things Picture Perfect, which is an older set but new to me.  Copic colors used: Sloth: E50, E51, E53 / E79, E74 / E29, E25, E23 / E44, E43, E41 / W9, W5 Tree: E59, E37, E34 Leaves + background: YG67, YG17, YG06, YG01, YG0000 My Polaroid dies are from Hello Bluebird and sadly do not completely fit the stamped images, BUT I colored a wider frame on the cardstock (Copic 100) to make it fit. To make the frame stand out a bit more, I cut a second frame, heat embossed it and then cut it in half diagonally and fit it to the back of the sloth.  Even for me this is enough glitter, and I love the bri...

Big LOVE from Alex Syberia Design

**Add** Hello everyone! I'm sharing another card made with a brand new svg cut file from the Alex Syberia Design February Release and don't forget that the Instagram hop where you can win a gift certificate to the Alex Syberia Design Etsy store is still going. So hop on over to Instagram to participate  here ! For my card today I cut the LoveYou and Modern heart svg files on my Silhouette machine. The large LOVE word I heat embossed with 2 layers of WOW! Metalline Red embossing powder and on top a layer of WOW! Pink Sorbet embossing powder. The base of the red darkens the glitter layer, as well as holds the glitter in place, which I really like. On this photo you can see the light reflect in the glitter and it's just gorgeous! Don't you think? I heat embossed the Modern heart with 3 layers of WOW! Perissa embossing powder, a favorite of mine. The extra layers really make a difference as the heart becomes more of an embellishment than "just" a die-cut. I adhe...

Alex Syberia Design February release now live!

**Add** Hello everyone! Today is the day to celebrate the Alex Syberia Design February Release and we're doing that with an Instagram hop where you can win a gift certificate to the Alex Syberia Design Etsy store. So hop on over to Instagram to participate here ! For my card today I cut the Love U svg file on my Silhouette machine, as well as the love word and shadow from the Love Sentimnts svg file. I then covered the cardbase with double sided adhesive and poured over WOW! Pink Sorbet embossing powder. I could have used my embossing ink, but I wanted to prevent the ink from wetting and warping my base cardstock. And it worked out great. I adhered the heart panel to the base and stamped my sentiemnts (from Simon says stamp Hey love). I left the love word white and heat embossed the shadow with 3 layers of WOW! Florida Sunset. I then adhered the word on top and popped it up with foam squares. There's lots of sparkle on this one and I really hope you like it! I know I do 😉 I ...

Magical Flower - a multi-layered card

Billede
Hey everyone, I'm up on the Alex Syberia blog today with this multi-layered card cut from SVG-files - SQUEAL!! I'm a happy little camper these days, because for Christmas I finally got a Silhouette Cameo. I have wanted one for eons and I would totally be lying if I didn't blame Alex for making me want one even more. This also means I haven't been coloring for a while, because I'm getting to know my new friend. Bare with me while I figure everything out 🙏 For this card I used the Magical Flower cut file. I cut all layers from white cardstock and colored them with copic markers - you can find the colors on Alex's blog . Thanks for stopping by. Be safe and happy crafting. Tina
