Handmade Paper Hugs

Hey friends! The April release is now live over at RAM Stamps and it's a fun one for sure! It has everything you'll need to create a birthday card - a boy and a girl, lots os balloons, cute birds, bees and other bugs, flowers, hearts, stars, sentiments, numbers celebrating ages 1 through 10 AND a gorgeous paper pack to go with it all. Here I'll be sharing a fun pop-up box card and a much simpler card using some of the many files.  I decided to make this cute pop-up box card for my niece who turns 3 in May. I printed the girl, bird and flower as they are, tehy come in black and soft grey outlines. The balloon set comes as a finished panel and seperate balloons, and I made my own background to fit the back of the card. And what's so clever about the files is that you can layer them on top of the patterned paper, like I did here. Saved me the hassle of cutting these tiny cuties out.   Hi friends, here's a how-to on my pop-up cards. Last summer I decided on finding a card design that was sort of interactive, yet not too dimensional, to make for the Danish Operation write home.  For those who don't know, the Operation write home delivers cards for military personnel to send home to their loved ones while deployed.  ~ My favorite things Mermazing, Elegant rectangle stax, Neat & Tangled Mermazing, Taylored Expressions Sweet scallop stencil The pop-up card design is not my original idea. Hey everyone! Today is my husband's 50th birthday and I made him this special sidestep card. It holds not everything but a lot of what he is and loves. I actually had to leave things out because it wouldn't fit.  He works as a technician, always has, and he has a special thing for... Screw drivers. Apparently.  It's a standing joke that he doesn't have any and should put it on his wishlist. When in reality he has soooooo many 🙈 So as a joke I "hid" a bunch in the card. My daughter couldn't find all of them. Can you?  Yep! You guessed it, it's my daughter's birthday card. This year is her 10th and I can't believe how fast things are going with her. Where did time go? I usually ask her what she wants for her birthday card. But this year I decided. You see, she just started riding classes and she's so excited, so I colored up this full panel with Copic markers.  It's a mash of digital stamps from Make it Crafty (background) and Some odd girl (girl with horse). I even colored the horse to match the first horse she rode, AND she recognized it immediately which made me so happy.  Hobbyboden Gitte's eget design Brush tillykke (congrats) die cut from Nuvo mirror card. A bit of string and popped up.

Custom made card for a hunter with 2 labs, who dreams of hunting deer. I know this may be weird to some, and honestly I don't like the concept of hunting. At all! But on the other hand, I do love a slow cooked deer shank. So, I went with it, and it turned out really great.  I don't use green much, and definitely not as a main color, but it really works for this. They are Twisted citron and Evergreen bough Distress oxide inks, and the edges blended with a bit of vintage photo. Hello everyone! Today a whole bunch of us Stamping Bella sistah's are honoring the creator and owner of Stamping Bella, Emily Block.  At first I was looking for something that would be sentimental, but I understand that Emily was a fun, vibrant person, so I changed directions. I'm sure she would have wanted us to enjoy making this card for her! Make it a celebration.  This is Girl on a Vespa, and I feel like she's big enough that a lot going on in the background would make it "messy". So after swiping an ink pad over the background a few times I drew a line, made a few doodles and stamped a couple of sentiments over it.   Hello everyone! For this adorable fairy card I used a Cheeky fairy digital stamp from The Greeting Farm. I looove their cheeky girls! As always I colored with Copics and kept the rest of the card pretty simple. I die cut Poppystamps Adriana wreath from white and gold glitter cardstock. I colored the white with same colors as on the fairy and off-set them, the colored one on top. Then popped up the darling fairy. Sentiment from My Favorite Things.
