Today I wanted to make a simple card for The Male Room challenge blog - mwahahaha, me and simple...


Anyway, the theme is Flight so I stamped a cute dragon from Magical dragons. I thought I'd combine it with the color challenge at My favorite things, so I colored it accorsingly with my copics and fuzzycut it out. I added details with my white gelly roll pen and with a needle I added a tiny bit of black Nuvo drops to emphasize the eyes. I also cut a cloud using the cloud die from MFT End of the rainbow. I stamped a sentiment using Altenew Desert night ink and I also wiped the ink cube along the edge and over every puff on the cloud.

B99, BG09, BG07, BG57, G05, YG06, YG01


I cut a panel with the stitched rectangle from MFT Blueprints 29 and dry embossed it with a Sizzix embossing folder. I bought it second-hand and I can't find the name. But it's a scalloped waves look. I backed it with a panel that I had colored with the Altenew ink. Only after attaching the embossed panel I decided I wanted the edge darker. It was too late to take it apart and I didn't want to risk coloring the embossed panel, but I still chose to swipe the ink along the edges again resulting in sort of an ombre look. Although it wasn't meant to be this way, I like it so I decided to keep it (hope you agree!).


I could have left it like that, and that honestly was my plan. Keep it simple right, lol! But I coulnd't help myself and I added a couple of Ranger Enamel accents in Electric lime and Carribean coast.

Teksten må ikke kopieres eller gengives uden accept.  Først og fremmest - HVORFOR bør man bruge tid på at rengøre sine tuscher?  Du har endelig købt nogle tuscher, nogle ret dyre tuscher i min optik, og nu vil du bare farvelægge. Har jeg ret?  Rengøring af så mange tuscher tager lidt tid og jeg forstår fuldt ud, hvis nogle synes det er langsommeligt og spild af tid. Men hvad hvis jeg siger, at vedligeholdelse af dine Copic tuscher vil forlænge deres levetid og forbedre brugen af dem? Rengøring er essentielt for alle Copic-brugere, uanset hvor meget eller hvor

Masculine birthday card

Hey everyone, Today I'm sharing a masculine card. It seems to be something a lot of us strugle with, but since I had my oxide inks out (see post from yesterday) I ink blended one more panel using Faded jeans, Broken China and Cracked Pistacio. I just love this combo. I placed the panel in my Misti and prepped it with my antistatic powder tool before stamping the Simon Says Stamp Ornate background stamp. This is one of my all time favorite stamps and I keep going back to it. I often use my Versafine Onyx black and clear embossing powder, but for this I used Stampendous black embossing powder because it has a really gorgeous raised glossy look.  Just look at that shine! The TILLYKKE sentiment simply means congrats and is from Simple and Basic. I die cut it from black cardstock 4 times for dimension, and covered the top layer in WOW! embossing Vintage peacock glitter. TIP: The die does not come with a shadow, but i turned it upside down on a black

Pop-up how-to

  Hi friends, here's a how-to on my pop-up cards. Last summer I decided on finding a card design that was sort of interactive, yet not too dimensional, to make for the Danish Operation write home.  For those who don't know, the Operation write home delivers cards for military personnel to send home to their loved ones while deployed.  ~ My favorite things Mermazing, Elegant rectangle stax, Neat & Tangled Mermazing, Taylored Expressions Sweet scallop stencil The pop-up card design is not my original idea. It's been around for years, and I recall making one a looong time ago, but it was tedious and I didn't like the working process. But I recently saw Jennifer Mcquire make it this way, and I knew I had to give it a try. And once I'd made one they just flowed on out of my crafty quarters. They are really easy to make and add quite the dimension to the card. AND - they fold flat, which is absolutely perfect. ~ Whimsy stamps Whale of a time, Sunny Studios stamps Sea
