OSH Christmas cards #1 - Operation skriv hjem

Hello everyone!
Today is a little different. I'm sharing not 1 but a couple of cards made for the Danish OSH - operation write home. I made some last year, and promissed myself to do birthday cards as well. I guess life got in the way of that, but it's a project that I really like to support, and Christmas time must be when they miss their loved ones the most. So I'm trying to rectify the lack of birthday cards by creating lots of Christmas cards. I made enough for a whole series of blog posts and I'll divide them according to design.
The cards for OSH have a few requirements. One layer is best and there absolutely cannot be any glitter. At all! See how that doesn't really go with my style, LOL! So I kept them pretty simple using presents from Pretty Pink Posh Reindeer friends, and creating a focus. I'm using My favorite things Polar bear friends and sentiments are from Hobbyboden.

For the blue card I used Altenew Dusk ink and Copics: C3, C1, C00, B29, B24, B21, BG49, BG45 and BG11.
For the red card I used Altenew Ruby red ink and Copics: C3, C1, C00, RV14, RV13, RV02, RV04, RV02, RV00.
For the 2 green cards I used Twisted citron Distress ink. I found it stamped just fine. Copics used: C3, C1, C00, RV14, RV13, RV02, YG06, YG03, YG01.

Jeg laver ellers ikke blog på dansk, men men tænkte at der måske var nogle som kunne gøre brug af det.  Jeg har længe villet lave en blog post om Copic vedligeholdelse - også kendt som Copic spa day - og nu har jeg endelig fundet tid til det.  Det er en lang post, så hent en kop kaffe og sæt dig til rette.  For god ordens skyld gør jeg opmærksom på, at jeg viser min egen foretrukne metode og at alle holdninger er mine egne. Teksten må ikke kopieres eller gengives uden accept.  Først og fremmest - HVORFOR bør man bruge tid på at rengøre sine tuscher?  Du har endelig købt nogle tuscher, nogle ret dyre tuscher i min optik, og nu vil du bare farvelægge. Har jeg ret?  Rengøring af så mange tuscher tager lidt tid og jeg forstår fuldt ud, hvis nogle synes det er langsommeligt og spild af tid. Men hvad hvis jeg siger, at vedligeholdelse af dine Copic tuscher vil forlænge deres levetid og forbedre brugen af dem? Rengøring er essentielt for alle Copic-brugere, uanset hvor meget eller hvor

Masculine birthday card

Hey everyone, Today I'm sharing a masculine card. It seems to be something a lot of us strugle with, but since I had my oxide inks out (see post from yesterday) I ink blended one more panel using Faded jeans, Broken China and Cracked Pistacio. I just love this combo. I placed the panel in my Misti and prepped it with my antistatic powder tool before stamping the Simon Says Stamp Ornate background stamp. This is one of my all time favorite stamps and I keep going back to it. I often use my Versafine Onyx black and clear embossing powder, but for this I used Stampendous black embossing powder because it has a really gorgeous raised glossy look.  Just look at that shine! The TILLYKKE sentiment simply means congrats and is from Simple and Basic. I die cut it from black cardstock 4 times for dimension, and covered the top layer in WOW! embossing Vintage peacock glitter. Pop-up how-to

  Hi friends, here's a how-to on my pop-up cards. Last summer I decided on finding a card design that was sort of interactive, yet not too dimensional, to make for the Danish Operation write home.  For those who don't know, the Operation write home delivers cards for military personnel to send home to their loved ones while deployed.  ~ My favorite things Mermazing, Elegant rectangle stax, Neat & Tangled Mermazing, Taylored Expressions Sweet scallop stencil The pop-up card design is not my original idea. It's been around for years, and I recall making one a looong time ago, but it was tedious and I didn't like the working process. But I recently saw Jennifer Mcquire make it this way, and I knew I had to give it a try. And once I'd made one they just flowed on out of my crafty quarters. They are really easy to make and add quite the dimension to the card. AND - they fold flat, which is absolutely perfect. ~ Whimsy stamps Whale of a time, Sunny Studios stamps Sea
