AAA Birthday game #12 Dots and/or Stripes

Hello everyone! It's a crazy world right now and keeping track of the days can be a challenge. But we've jumped into April and today we're starting a new challenge over at AAA Birthday blog. I hope you're enjoying time with loved ones, staying safe and that you'll have fun creating a card for our theme this month - Dots and/or stripes.
 For this trio of cards I've used The Greeting Farm Magical friends, colored with Copics.
V15, V12, V000
B39, BV08, BV04, BV02
For the backgrounds I used a new-to-me stencil that I was given by a crafty friend. It's from Hedgehog Hollow and almost psychedelic, don't you think? Anyway, I thought it fit the theme perfectly since it obviously has dots and, although their in half circles, also stripes. Here I blended Wilted violet and Chipped sapphire Distress inks.
I also cut 2 cloud pieces with Poppystamps Stitched Cloudline, one from vellum and one from white cardstock. The sentiment is Avery Elle.

In spite of a fear of creating brown spots I stenciled Mustard seed and Wilted violet Distress inks. I was careful not to blend them too much.
The sentiment is from My favorite things, white heat embossed on black cardstock using WOW! embossing powder.

For the final card I used Picked raspberry and Spiced marmelade Distress inks and a sentiment from Concord 9th.

    Wow! A triple delight Tina! Of course I love the two purple cards, but the pink and orange is so hot and vibrant that maybe it's my favourite colourway.

MFT sketch challenge

Hello everyone! I wanted to create a card for the new My favorite things sketch challenge and thought it was about time for me to start my Christmas card collection. As always I tried to incorporate other challenges - the MFT color challenge (again), masking, sparkle and texture. I cut a panel of Neenah cardstock to about 4,5x4,25 inches. I stamped a bear from the MFT Polar bear pals and colored it with copics. I also stamped the image on a Post-it and fuzzy cut it to mask the bear. From another Post-it I cut with a Nellie Snellen Multi frame circle die. I placed it centering the bear. I masked the rest of my panel as well and ink blended over the bear using Tumbled glass, Salty ocean and Chipped sapphire Distress inks. I diluted a drop of white acrylic paint with a bit of water and splattered it over the Distress ink. Always be a mermaid

Hi there! Today we are starting our summer holiday and I wanted to make a card for my daughter. I just had to color up this new Digi Doodles Serina mermaid!    The background was created by ink blending Milled lavendar, Tumbled glass and Mermaid lagoon Distress inks over the Taylored Expressions Sweet scallop stencil. I printed the mermaid and a sentiment from Digi Doodles Mermaid sentiments. I colored the mermaid with my copics in my favorite colors, pink and teal, and fuzzycut it out.  I decided the card needed a shaker element and I used the TE Be a mermaid tail die. I die cut the tail from the background and popped up the background with 2 layers of craft foam. I placed the cut out tail in the negative space. I made sure to prep with my antistatic powder bag and added clear sequins and violet glitter before placing the background on top. I popped up the mermaid and the sentiment.
