Alex Syberia Design September release is LIVE!

Hello everyone! The September release of Alex Syberia Design digital stamps are now available in Alex's Etsy shop. It features beautiful floral designs in the fall/Christmas category. I also want to encourage you to check out Alex's new release through Maker Forte. It includes clear stamps, stencils, a paper pad and enamel pins AND it's super cute cookies and critters and of course gorgeous florals!

I'm sharing 2 cards today, let's start with the fall card. I used the Autumn bouquet, which is actually a slim-line design. However, I decided to down-size it for a regular card size.

As I colored with Copics I wanted to make the large pumpkin the focus:

Pumpkin: YR20, YR21, YR04, YR09, E09 + G94, G43, G40
Smaller pumpkins: E97, YR21, YR20 / RV09, RV17, RV25, RV13, RV10 + E57
Small leaves: G17, G14, G00
Oak leaves: YG17, YG13, YG11, E99, E97, R46, R14
Maple Leaf: R46, R24, YR68, Y17, Y06, Y02, YG01, YG06, G05
Berries: RV69, RV66, RV29, RV25, E47 / C9, C7, C3

I added a bit of shade to ground the image using Copic W3, W1, W0.

To finish off the card I added a sentiment from Honey Bee stamps Everything wonderful set, and popped up the image for a bit of dimension.

For my second card I chose a Christmas design. This is Christmas Bird, which is also a slim-line design. I just love this image, it's so full of Christmas. Once again I down-sized it to fit a regular card size.


I colored the bird to look like a bird in my own winter garden, the Bullfinch. 
Copics used:
Bullfinch: R32, R14, RV21, RV13, RV10 + B95, B93, B91 + C7, C5
Bow: RV69, RV29, RV25
Bells: YR27, YR24, Y21, Y11
Spruce: YG17, YG03
Holly: G28, G05, G02, YG03
Berries: R46, R29, R24, R14


I had to add a tiny bit of sparkle and it's really hard to see, but i wanted to try.


I cut the panel to fit the card and backed it with another cut panel that I'd colored the edges of. I used Copic RV29. I adhered it to the card, stamped a danish sentiment simply meaning Merry Christmas from Hobbyboden and added a few sequins and crystals.

Teksten må ikke kopieres eller gengives uden accept.  Først og fremmest - HVORFOR bør man bruge tid på at rengøre sine tuscher?  Du har endelig købt nogle tuscher, nogle ret dyre tuscher i min optik, og nu vil du bare farvelægge. Har jeg ret?  Rengøring af så mange tuscher tager lidt tid og jeg forstår fuldt ud, hvis nogle synes det er langsommeligt og spild af tid. Men hvad hvis jeg siger, at vedligeholdelse af dine Copic tuscher vil forlænge deres levetid og forbedre brugen af dem? Rengøring er essentielt for alle Copic-brugere, uanset hvor meget eller hvor

Masculine birthday card

Hey everyone, Today I'm sharing a masculine card. It seems to be something a lot of us strugle with, but since I had my oxide inks out (see post from yesterday) I ink blended one more panel using Faded jeans, Broken China and Cracked Pistacio. I just love this combo. I placed the panel in my Misti and prepped it with my antistatic powder tool before stamping the Simon Says Stamp Ornate background stamp. This is one of my all time favorite stamps and I keep going back to it. I often use my Versafine Onyx black and clear embossing powder, but for this I used Stampendous black embossing powder because it has a really gorgeous raised glossy look.  Just look at that shine! The TILLYKKE sentiment simply means congrats and is from Simple and Basic. I die cut it from black cardstock 4 times for dimension, and covered the top layer in WOW! embossing Vintage peacock glitter. TIP: The die does not come with a shadow, but i turned it upside down on a black

Pop-up how-to

  Hi friends, here's a how-to on my pop-up cards. Last summer I decided on finding a card design that was sort of interactive, yet not too dimensional, to make for the Danish Operation write home.  For those who don't know, the Operation write home delivers cards for military personnel to send home to their loved ones while deployed.  ~ My favorite things Mermazing, Elegant rectangle stax, Neat & Tangled Mermazing, Taylored Expressions Sweet scallop stencil The pop-up card design is not my original idea. It's been around for years, and I recall making one a looong time ago, but it was tedious and I didn't like the working process. But I recently saw Jennifer Mcquire make it this way, and I knew I had to give it a try. And once I'd made one they just flowed on out of my crafty quarters. They are really easy to make and add quite the dimension to the card. AND - they fold flat, which is absolutely perfect. ~ Whimsy stamps Whale of a time, Sunny Studios stamps Sea
