AAA Birthday challenge Game #23 Patterned paper

Hello Everyone! Spring is finally here and today we're starting the March challenge over at AAA Birthday blog and our theme this month is patterned paper. 


I'm sure you know I don't typically use a lot of patterned paper, so this was honestly a challenge for me. I know, I know, I could have chosen the easy path and slapped a piece of paper on a card and add a critter. That would no doubt be adorable,but I wanted to do something different. I found my inspiration with Laura Bassen. She is awesome with geometric cards!


Since I'm sooo over winter I wanted warm vibes on this card. I found a paper pad (bought locally) and decided on 5 different prints and cut squares (around 1x1 inch) with my paper trimmer. I popped them up with craft foam for dimension.


For extra summer vibes I stamped a pineapple using Honey Bee stamps Fineapple in colors matching the paper. I used Altenew and Hero Arts inks. I popped it up and added a bit of shimmer with my very dry Wink of stella.


The stamped part of the sentiment is from Simon says stamp Tiny words using 2 Altenew inks. The word cut is from My favorite things Sweet as pie die-namics. I layered 3 pieces and added Nuvo Jewel drops Limoncello to the whole thing for a soft yellow glossy finish.

Copic vedligeholdelse - hvordan & hvorfor

Jeg laver ellers ikke blog på dansk, men men tænkte at der måske var nogle som kunne gøre brug af det.  Jeg har længe villet lave en blog post om Copic vedligeholdelse - også kendt som Copic spa day - og nu har jeg endelig fundet tid til det.  Det er en lang post, så hent en kop kaffe og sæt dig til rette.  For god ordens skyld gør jeg opmærksom på, at jeg viser min egen foretrukne metode og at alle holdninger er mine egne. Teksten må ikke kopieres eller gengives uden accept.  Først og fremmest - HVORFOR bør man bruge tid på at rengøre sine tuscher?  Du har endelig købt nogle tuscher, nogle ret dyre tuscher i min optik, og nu vil du bare farvelægge. Har jeg ret?  Rengøring af så mange tuscher tager lidt tid og jeg forstår fuldt ud, hvis nogle synes det er langsommeligt og spild af tid. Men hvad hvis jeg siger, at vedligeholdelse af dine Copic tuscher vil forlænge deres levetid og forbedre brugen af dem? Rengøring er essentielt for alle Copic-brugere, uanset hvor meget eller hvor

Masculine birthday card

Hey everyone, Today I'm sharing a masculine card. It seems to be something a lot of us strugle with, but since I had my oxide inks out (see post from yesterday) I ink blended one more panel using Faded jeans, Broken China and Cracked Pistacio. I just love this combo. I placed the panel in my Misti and prepped it with my antistatic powder tool before stamping the Simon Says Stamp Ornate background stamp. This is one of my all time favorite stamps and I keep going back to it. I often use my Versafine Onyx black and clear embossing powder, but for this I used Stampendous black embossing powder because it has a really gorgeous raised glossy look.  Just look at that shine! The TILLYKKE sentiment simply means congrats and is from Simple and Basic. I die cut it from black cardstock 4 times for dimension, and covered the top layer in WOW! embossing Vintage peacock glitter. TIP: The die does not come with a shadow, but i turned it upside down on a black
