AAA birthday blog game #28 - Photo inspiration

Hello everyone! Today we're kicking off a new challenge over AAA Birthday blog and the theme is Photo inspiration. Doesn't that photo just scream summer birthday in the garden?

For my card I used the Varada Sharma Freesia portrait. Simple cards are hard for me, but this beautiful design was just screaming simple to me. I printed it to fit a regular card size and then copic colored it.
Copics used:
BV04, BV17, BV02, BV000
G05, YG06, YG01

I cut it down and then cut another panel slightly wider. On the second panel I colored the edges using my BV02 marker.


I cut out a Tillykke (congrats) word using Gitte's eget design Brush Tillykke and then colored it with the same green markers. After adhering it to the card I added glitter from a Spectrum noir clear glitter marker. To that I added a layer of Glossy accents. It was impossible to capture the sparkle, but it's there, lol!


To finish the card I added a few nuvo jewel drops.

Teksten må ikke kopieres eller gengives uden accept.  Først og fremmest - HVORFOR bør man bruge tid på at rengøre sine tuscher?  Du har endelig købt nogle tuscher, nogle ret dyre tuscher i min optik, og nu vil du bare farvelægge. Har jeg ret?  Rengøring af så mange tuscher tager lidt tid og jeg forstår fuldt ud, hvis nogle synes det er langsommeligt og spild af tid. Men hvad hvis jeg siger, at vedligeholdelse af dine Copic tuscher vil forlænge deres levetid og forbedre brugen af dem? Rengøring er essentielt for alle Copic-brugere, uanset hvor meget eller hvor

Masculine birthday card

Hey everyone, Today I'm sharing a masculine card. It seems to be something a lot of us strugle with, but since I had my oxide inks out (see post from yesterday) I ink blended one more panel using Faded jeans, Broken China and Cracked Pistacio. I just love this combo. I placed the panel in my Misti and prepped it with my antistatic powder tool before stamping the Simon Says Stamp Ornate background stamp. This is one of my all time favorite stamps and I keep going back to it. I often use my Versafine Onyx black and clear embossing powder, but for this I used Stampendous black embossing powder because it has a really gorgeous raised glossy look.  Just look at that shine! The TILLYKKE sentiment simply means congrats and is from Simple and Basic. I die cut it from black cardstock 4 times for dimension, and covered the top layer in WOW! embossing Vintage peacock glitter. Pop-up how-to

  Hi friends, here's a how-to on my pop-up cards. Last summer I decided on finding a card design that was sort of interactive, yet not too dimensional, to make for the Danish Operation write home.  For those who don't know, the Operation write home delivers cards for military personnel to send home to their loved ones while deployed.  ~ My favorite things Mermazing, Elegant rectangle stax, Neat & Tangled Mermazing, Taylored Expressions Sweet scallop stencil The pop-up card design is not my original idea. It's been around for years, and I recall making one a looong time ago, but it was tedious and I didn't like the working process. But I recently saw Jennifer Mcquire make it this way, and I knew I had to give it a try. And once I'd made one they just flowed on out of my crafty quarters. They are really easy to make and add quite the dimension to the card. AND - they fold flat, which is absolutely perfect. ~ Whimsy stamps Whale of a time, Sunny Studios stamps Sea
