Birthday card for her

I struggled with this card. I made different backgrounds, cut several leaves and embossed in different colors. Put it away and came back the next day.
But I'm very happy with the finished card.




The background is made by ink smooshing Ranger Distress ink in 
Tumbled glass. I added everal layers.
The MFT Birthday Wishes die and the medium and top layers of the Altenew Fantasy Floral die are cut out of an alcohol ink background. To make it stand out more, I embossed the top layer in WOW! Hologram sparkle embossing powder. The bottom layer I cut from teal cardstock.




The leaves are a mix of vellum, white cardstock and embossed with WOW! Calypso and Emerald City.
I layered the leaves leaving the tips free for even more dimension.


This card was entered into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - For a special lady, and WOW! embossing monthly challenge on Facebook - favorite technique. I love layering different colors and glitters.

Copic vedligeholdelse - hvordan & hvorfor

Jeg laver ellers ikke blog på dansk, men men tænkte at der måske var nogle som kunne gøre brug af det.  Jeg har længe villet lave en blog post om Copic vedligeholdelse - også kendt som Copic spa day - og nu har jeg endelig fundet tid til det.  Det er en lang post, så hent en kop kaffe og sæt dig til rette.  For god ordens skyld gør jeg opmærksom på, at jeg viser min egen foretrukne metode og at alle holdninger er mine egne. Teksten må ikke kopieres eller gengives uden accept.  Først og fremmest - HVORFOR bør man bruge tid på at rengøre sine tuscher?  Du har endelig købt nogle tuscher, nogle ret dyre tuscher i min optik, og nu vil du bare farvelægge. Har jeg ret?  Rengøring af så mange tuscher tager lidt tid og jeg forstår fuldt ud, hvis nogle synes det er langsommeligt og spild af tid. Men hvad hvis jeg siger, at vedligeholdelse af dine Copic tuscher vil forlænge deres levetid og forbedre brugen af dem? Rengøring er essentielt for alle Copic-brugere, uanset hvor meget eller hvor

Masculine birthday card

Hey everyone, Today I'm sharing a masculine card. It seems to be something a lot of us strugle with, but since I had my oxide inks out (see post from yesterday) I ink blended one more panel using Faded jeans, Broken China and Cracked Pistacio. I just love this combo. I placed the panel in my Misti and prepped it with my antistatic powder tool before stamping the Simon Says Stamp Ornate background stamp. This is one of my all time favorite stamps and I keep going back to it. I often use my Versafine Onyx black and clear embossing powder, but for this I used Stampendous black embossing powder because it has a really gorgeous raised glossy look.  Just look at that shine! The TILLYKKE sentiment simply means congrats and is from Simple and Basic. I die cut it from black cardstock 4 times for dimension, and covered the top layer in WOW! embossing Vintage peacock glitter. TIP: The die does not come with a shadow, but i turned it upside down on a black
