AAA Birthday challenge game #33 - 2 Favorite colors

Happy new year, you guys!!

Today we're kicking off the first challenge of the year over at AAA Birthday blog and the first theme of the year is..... 2 favorite colors.

So the slimline format might be surprising to you, but the colors wont be. Right? I mean, pink and purple - everyone knows they're my favorite. 


The girl is a digital stamp from Krista Leigh Smith and I just love the her expression. When I saw the image I felt like she was shaking her head in disbelief. I knew that I wanted to pair her with those sentiments - What the what now?! You're THAT old?! No WAY?! 😆
I colored her with Copics some time during the fall and fuzzy cut the image.

Copics used:
Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00 + R32
Lips: RV09, RV04
Make-up: RV95, RV11
Blouse: RV69, RV66, RV55, RV52
Hair: E59, E25, E33
Pants: W3, W3, W1, W0


The background was created not so long ago when I had a play with my sprays. First I added texture paste through a Memory Box Ring tile stencil and let that dry. Then I sprayed a pink and purple Dylusions spray as well as a bit of water. Then I let it dry again.


After it dried I applied a bit of      with my finger. Honestly, I kind of regretted it as soon as I apllied it, but the damage was done. I still like it, but I think I may have preferred it without.


The sentiments (small from Whimsy, large from Pinkfresh Studio) were all heat embossed with WOW! Black magic embossing powder.

    Pretty much my go to colours as well, so of course I love your card. I agree the expression on her face is perfect for your sentiments too.

Teksten må ikke kopieres eller gengives uden accept.  Først og fremmest - HVORFOR bør man bruge tid på at rengøre sine tuscher?  Du har endelig købt nogle tuscher, nogle ret dyre tuscher i min optik, og nu vil du bare farvelægge. Har jeg ret?  Rengøring af så mange tuscher tager lidt tid og jeg forstår fuldt ud, hvis nogle synes det er langsommeligt og spild af tid. Men hvad hvis jeg siger, at vedligeholdelse af dine Copic tuscher vil forlænge deres levetid og forbedre brugen af dem? Rengøring er essentielt for alle Copic-brugere, uanset hvor meget eller hvor

Masculine birthday card

Hey everyone, Today I'm sharing a masculine card. It seems to be something a lot of us strugle with, but since I had my oxide inks out (see post from yesterday) I ink blended one more panel using Faded jeans, Broken China and Cracked Pistacio. I just love this combo. I placed the panel in my Misti and prepped it with my antistatic powder tool before stamping the Simon Says Stamp Ornate background stamp. This is one of my all time favorite stamps and I keep going back to it. I often use my Versafine Onyx black and clear embossing powder, but for this I used Stampendous black embossing powder because it has a really gorgeous raised glossy look.  Just look at that shine! The TILLYKKE sentiment simply means congrats and is from Simple and Basic. I die cut it from black cardstock 4 times for dimension, and covered the top layer in WOW! embossing Vintage peacock glitter. TIP: The die does not come with a shadow, but i turned it upside down on a black

Pop-up how-to

  Hi friends, here's a how-to on my pop-up cards. Last summer I decided on finding a card design that was sort of interactive, yet not too dimensional, to make for the Danish Operation write home.  For those who don't know, the Operation write home delivers cards for military personnel to send home to their loved ones while deployed.  ~ My favorite things Mermazing, Elegant rectangle stax, Neat & Tangled Mermazing, Taylored Expressions Sweet scallop stencil The pop-up card design is not my original idea. It's been around for years, and I recall making one a looong time ago, but it was tedious and I didn't like the working process. But I recently saw Jennifer Mcquire make it this way, and I knew I had to give it a try. And once I'd made one they just flowed on out of my crafty quarters. They are really easy to make and add quite the dimension to the card. AND - they fold flat, which is absolutely perfect. ~ Whimsy stamps Whale of a time, Sunny Studios stamps Sea
