Fa-BOO-lous mixed media halloween card

Billede
Hello everyone! Halloween is just around the corner and I have just a few more cards I want to share.  I'll be honest, I did NOT! like this background when I made it. I was playing with spray inks and this one just came out too dark and brown when I'd wanted red/green. In an attempt to make it just slightly more interesting I added blue splatters. That only made things worse. But once I had die cut the Poppystamps Spellcaster witch and magical cauldron it all just seemed to fit. This witch is brewing up something nasty and poisonous in that cauldron! With my finger I softly added a bit of Finnabair Art Alchemy Metallique Cire Cera Wax (that must be the longest name in crafting history). I used the color Firebird. It's a coppery color with a beautiful shine!  I added the wax all along the front of the witch and along the folds of her dress. To protect the next "fold" I inserted a piece of cardstock into the fold, covering the previous fold. Hope that makes sense....

Alex Syberia October release is now live - Halloween fun with layering and masking stamps

Billede
Hello everyone! The October release from Alex Syberia is now available in her Etsy shop . This release has cute and spooky halloween stamps, as well as gorgeous flowers. You're going to love it! Today I'm sharing 2 cards with you that was created in somewhat the same way. For this first one I layered the Spider web 1 from Spider web bundle over the Halloween pumkins. It was a little tricky seeing all the details of the pumpkins through the intricate spider web, I'll be honest. But it was totally worth it. Copics used: YR09, YR68, YR04, YR21 G99, G24, G40 When printing the panels I made sure to print on regular printer paper as well. I fuzzy cut the rows of pumpkins out of the printer paper, added Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue to the back and let it dry (any glue that dries tacky will work).  Once the glue was dry I layed it over my colored panel and ink blended using Altenew inks from Cherry blossom and Shades of purple. I really like the look of the pumpkins peeking out ...

AAA Birthday challlenge game #30 - A Slimline Card

Billede
Hello everyone! Today we're kicking off our October challenge at AAA Birthday challenge blog and this months theme is - Slimline card. We're even so lucky to have Alex Syberia Design as our sponsor this month, and YOU could win a $10 gift card to store. So hop on over and join the fun! Alex also generously offered each of the DT members a stamp, but since I'm a proud DT member of Alex's I had a few to choose from 😍 I chose to use Autumn Bouquet as there's no denying it's now officially fall and because it's one of my favorite stamps from Alex. As always I colored with my Copic markers. I ink blended the background over Pinkfresh Studio Diamond plaid stencil using Spiced marmelade, Candied apple and Ground espresso. I actually have the regular stencil (not the slimline) so I had to move the stencil, but it worked out just fine. I popped up the fuzzy cut pumpkin image for a bit of dimension and added the My favorite things Birthday wishes sentiment die cut...

MFT Card Design Superstar: Innovation master

Billede
Hello everyone! Here's my 3rd and last card for the MFT Card Design Superstar challenge. This is for the Innovation master category. Now, I had completely different ideas for my Innovation project, but I just didn't have the time. So that will have to wait and I opted for a much simpler design.  A little bit of ink blending and a single Nuvo drop, along with these MFT products: Mesmerizing Mandala die-namics Delightfull Deer die-namics Let it snowflake too die-namics Beautiful blessings Glitter cardstock (from Bundle of Balloons kit) I decided on a flop card with a semi-see through opening made with the mandala die. No biggie, right?! After cutting through the card base, I added a mandala cut from glitter cardstock.  I then went through my stash for something symmetrical that would work with the see through design, but in the end I decided to mirror the delightful deer. On the back / inside I added a mandala from teal cardstock and the the mirrored deer along with the o...

MFT Card Design Superstar: Coloring Virtuoso

Billede
Hello everyone! It's that time of year and although I currently have way too much going on, I wanted to make time for the Design Superstar challenges at My Favorite Things. For this card I used a little bit of masking, lots of Copic markers and a couple of MFT stamp sets. The floor, wall and tropical scene are free hand colored. MFT stamps: Our story Mermazing Flamazing (large palm tree and water ripples) Party like a pirate Cutieasaurus I hope you like it! I stamped the ripples over the mermaid to make it look like she's come up to check out that cute pirate. Brought in a bit of yellow for that lamp glow. I really hope you like it! I've wanted to create this kind of scene for a loooong time, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe, and happy crafting! Tina
